Sangrador
I have nothing bad to say about the knife itself. It's a pure fighter (hence the name), well made. Came quite sharp. Full width tang, roomy handle, nice grips. It's very comparable to the Blackhawk UK SFK. Despite the roughly same OAL, the blade is narrower and thinner, so the knife is a more nimble fighter, in addition to the fuller (groove) in the blade, and because of the thickness, still has quite sharp cutting bevels on the blade. The point of balance is a little past the first screw on the handle from the blade. Like the BH, it has a narrow bottleneck on the grip that they obviously intend for a certain grip. Unlike the BH, it's a lot more comfortable to hold. The sheath is serviceable, but could be better. CRKT tends to make them out of nylon with a plastic insert for the blade. The insert on this one is a better fit than most that they make and doesn't rattle. You can insert the knife with either edge facing either way. Its only retention is the button snap over the handle. The sheath has a pouch with a hook and loop cover. It has loops down the back for MOLLE use, but unlike some of their other sheaths, it did not come with an integral strap to complete it, which is odd. You'll have to get one separately. The top of the sheath I think was either badly made or defective; it has hook and loop closure flap for a belt loop, but the entire thing is covered in it, making that difficult, and no button retention to finish it off. You can still make it work, but they could've put a lot more care into the making of it.

It is well made but it is a fighting knife ...
It is well made but it is a fighting knife not a survival knife so it does not have the items for that

I mostly bought this as I always wonted something like it and found a good price. I hope I never need to use it. I am not without a knife on me ALWAYS. (unless in courthouse ...) I normally have small fixed blade and larger folder and multi tool. I have many knives, this is one style I did not have. This knife is made to kill a person. Not much good for much else. If I need to kill an animal (i have) I would use more of my BK7 type. Thinking about that it is what I carry mostly(BK7) in woods. I could say more but u get idea. This is not a good knife design for most tasks. But for what it is it seems to be well made, and comfortable.

Fight/self Defense knife
As stated previously, this knife has one basic function: putting holes in things. However, if you are looking for a "dagger", this one isn't bad. Balance is where it should be, for this type fight/self defense tool. The one I have came from another online retailer, who was discontinuing the sale of it. (therefore, it was heavily discounted)Likes: sturdy. Not much "flex" to the blade. Comparing to a Fairbairn/Sykes knife, this blade is far more ridged, which was one of the big complaints for that (F-S) knife. The steel used is ok for the application. Not really in love with SK-5, but for this knife, it's fine. You get a sheath that's usable. Not perfect, but usable.Dislikes: Well, the steel, but again, that's fine. Didn't come "super" sharp, but I sharpened it. It'll do what needs to be done, if called upon. Not a big fan of serrations, but it does give this knife another use if called upon to cut para-cord or the like. Then the sheath. Top of sheath could have been lowered/shortened. I have a snap on my retention strap (a plus) which is down at the knife guard area. So there is 4 3/4" of sheath that is "floppy". I like a more ridged sheath, if wearing it on my belt. Also, It's a bit large over all. Not the best at conceal carry. But again, that is minor. Now the only thing I really didn't like about this knife was the grip scales. One, they were not lined up properly. Though slightly off, the scales were meant to be flush around the full tang handle. So, just a little disappointing. Two, the scales were beveled at a 45 degree angle, instead of "rounding" over. Yes, that's not comfortable. I have since rounded my scale (only in the area where you grip them) and comfort is much improved! While the knife isn't perfect, if you want a fight/self defense knife, this one is ok. If you like it, take a chance and get it. It should fill that "I'd like to have a dagger" hole in your life! ;)
