Although I can't say for sure that a plastic barbell has failed on me and was responsible for low oil pressure, I also can't say they haven't. I build ls platform motors daily and for the price, the fitment and piece of mind this little upgrade offers is unbeatable. It may be necessary to smooth out the bore walls to get it installed cause it is a TIGHT fit and the machining is precise, unlike gms poor oiling design and cast. I look forward to a long engine life of prefect oil pressure thanks to this little piece.
