If you are planning to connect this with an existing network it will not work! it sucks the bandwidth from the switches and make your network not operational. The only way is to connect with a dedicated cable point to point. Also the HDMI worked OK with some artifacts, but the USB is not recognizable if using cable longer that 7 feet! I used this to extend my Xbox One HDMI & Controller the HDMI was OK but the controller never worked. I was able to connect a USB keyboard though

EDIT: suitable for video playback -editing - videogame playing, but be careful the the "chain" of cables-connectors you use.
The product did the job that promises... One thing you must care, try to connect it directly on the devices you want to use.. I plugged in on a hdmi swtich and started to throw some lag (also mind for quality Ethernet/HDMI Cables), but when I plugged it directly on the devices I wanted to use, worked as should be...
