It has two ADSR envelope generators: one for the amplitude and one for the filter. **Q: Just bought this along with an akai mpk 225. can't set it up correctly. could someone please explain to me step by step?** A: MIDI out from your keyboard to MIDI in on the Model D. USB from your Akai to your computer. Main output from Model D to your mic input on your interface. USB from interface to computer. If you don't have an interface there is a USB from the Model D which should go to the computer. Make sure your Akai is on the same MIDI channel as the Model D. That's easy to overlook or change accidentally. Make sure your computer preferences AND your DAW preferences recognize your interface device if used. Without seeing what you actually have that's all I can provide. **Q: Does this unit save and presets and if so does it have midi pgrm or cc control standards? If this one doesn't are there any similarnproducts that do?** A: This is old school - twiddle the dials only. If you're just starting out, this is the perfect synth to learn with. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by A***N on 1 December 2019* The Behringer Model D is a very fine synth with fine build quality and truly proper sound. It has one very annoying flaw: if a note begins exactly when the previous one ends, the filter envelope doesn't trigger even though it should, just like with every other synth (the notes don't overlap). This problem is unique to this synth, it doesn't happen with any other analog synth I've ever used, and I've used quite enough synths, including modular setups with CV to MIDI modules. The only way to avoid this problem in the "Boog" is to disable "legato", but then you can't have this behavior when you actually need it (by extending the previous note so that it overlaps with the beginning of the next note).
