Hooks are made of low quality plastic
I purchased these because I believed the hooks to be more reliable than the normal clasps that most suspenders have. unfortunately, the hooks are made of poor quality plastic and not metal. two of them have broken already after a couple weeks of usage

Appear to be well made. Suited for under or over wear.
Well-made and attractive. Of course you have to use suspenders for a year to really know how good they are, and I just got these as replacements for some I have had for 8 or 9 years. One thing is I will not use clips again. They ruin your clothes over time.

Finally, suspenders that stay on
Most suspenders use clips to attach to the waistband of the pants. The clips have a tendency to slip off, especially as they get older. These use a different kind of clip, which attach to belt loops. No slipping off here. I'm a big guy (6'3" and heavy set) and they still fit perfectly.
