Help you stepping up your installation
I am a siding contractor. Been installing Hardie plank since 2009 . I wish I had buy these before. They will work great in long walls. As you install your clams(ghecco) about 12 to 16 inch from the end of your plank. I suggest you nail both end first then push up with one of these in the middle of the plank as they tend to wave at this spot.The grip is perfect you can hold the plank and this gauge in the same time making it easy to secure this one at the proper high.This work great for the small pieces in between windows and corners where the traditional clams just take too much time and are not effective at this matter.

Useful for setting our hardie plank exposure, used it to check for sag between the other gauges, or for tight spots the other gauges wouldn't fit into.
