These are SO Fresh!
I have loved Jujubes for probably 50 years now and this is the only place I can find them anymore. I like them best when they are a little stale: Hard, but chewy when you suck on them for a while. I have had trouble with ordering them on Amazon in the past when they were crunchy and brittle (?!?) but I finally tried again and this time they are soft and chewy and flavorful. Way too fresh for me, but my husband now loves them and I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep them hidden until they harden up so I can enjoy them the way I remember! Amazon's got a good batch right now!!! (March 2023)

After a year long quest roughly equivalent to the lord of the rings series...
These semi-flavorless plastic lumps are my very favorite candy in the world. I knew, with 100% certainty, every jujubes carrying store in New Orleans. Once upon a time, approximately last year, I was having a bad day. I had been hit by several cars (New Orleans does not have good drivers), and was PMSing like nobodies businesses. I went to New Orlean’s 7 jujubes carrying drug stores. Nothing. I found a jujubes tracker online that said jujubes were near. They were not. I went to every drugstore and box store in New Orleans, Metairie, and Kenner. Jujubes were gone. I cried hysterically in a CVS parking lot. For a while I found a shop that sold jujubes filled cookies. I would buy the cookies and break the jujubes out and eat them. It was an expensive way to get a fix, and the jujubes were too soft after having been baked. My life was in shambles.Thank you. After a year of searching, I finally found real, rock hard, filling ruining jujubes. I feel complete. Don’t you dare ever run out. Really. Wtf will I do then? Eat jujyfruits? Gross. Anyway, thanks!

Classic Jujubes at a reasonable price
Jujubes are by far my favorite candy (and have been for long time). Taste wise they are similar to the much more common Jujyfruit candy's except they are smaller, a bit more firm, and have in my opinion have a much bolder flavor.Cost wise, this product on Amazon is a bit more expensive than the price I can find in stores (which for Jujubes is becoming more difficult to find in store).Quality wise, the cases that I have gotten from Amazon have been significantly fresher than boxes that can be bought at a local store. The ones in local stores tend to be extremely hard from age (sometimes to the point where they cannot be eaten), However every box I have gotten from Amazon has been fresh (i.e firm but not teeth shattering hard) which is why I buy Jujubes almost exclusively from here (even though its a 30% markup of the price in my local store). One small negative I will add is that they no longer offer Jujubes shirts for sale on the back of the boxes =(.Overall amazing candy, you cannot go wrong buying from here.

Big Jujube fan
I fell in love with this stuff when I was a kid going to the movies. Things haven't changed. The problem is the manufacturer. A very well known drugstore chain carried the candy, sold in individual boxes. Literally half the time, the boxes on the shelves were improperly sealed and the candy had gotten brittle. Glue problem, I assume. After dealing with this a few times I wrote to the company, explained the problem and assumed they would fix it. They sent me a nice letter saying that one batch had this problem, they said they fixed it and enclosed a coupon for a free box. Sweet! Only they did not fix it, it continued for a long time. They lied to me; I really hate being lied to. Of course every time I bought some, I made sure the the flaps were glued tight. So far I have had no problem with the seals on candy bought through Amazon. So far.

Bummer they changed them
I buy these often. They don't stock them very regularly around here so I get them in bulk online. This time they'd updated the box closure and unfortunately also updated the recipe. Many of them are short stubby things like they didn't fill the mold right but the bad part is they now taste just like jujyfruits. If I'd wanted jujyfruits I'd have bought jujyfruits. The nice subtle flavor and the entertainment of trying to suck them off your teeth are both gone. I have an unpleasant aftertaste going on and 11 boxes left. T_T

Best Candy in the world, but hard to find
Jujubes are my childhood favorite candy. It used to be that you could find them in nearly every supermarket, drugstore, gas station or minimart. I think that was when they were manufactured by Heide. A few years ago, they began to disappear from all the usual stores, even though they are still made. Although the Heide sub-brand still exists, the company was bought in 2012 by Ferrara, and the candy is now manufactured in Mexico and much harder to find. Along with Jujyfruits, Heide's other gummy candy, which is a bit easier to find. I love the texture and the flavor of these very simple candies, and have fond memories of eating large boxfuls in the theater as a little girl. Nothing special, but if you love them like I do, this is a great place to find them as they seem to have all but disappeared in retail stores in the US where I've looked.

It's ...Jujubes?
If you're buying this many boxes of Jujubes, it's only because you know what a Jujube is and you wanted a lot of Jujubes. Because that's what they are. A dozen boxes of Jujubes. Just Jujubes. Inside are Jujubes. I don't know if you can call a Jujube "fresh", but I gave it five stars there because it was as "fresh" as a Jujube should be; they weren't moldy or anything.
