Like any PC motherboard since the dawn - you will have problems with legacy (old stuff) running on new technology. So, be careful about the components you select with this very power hungry setup. I have no problems with hardware - but I don't have anything older than three years (except the power supply and AIO cooler).Take Note: if you intend to add a AIO cooling solution - you better bring the solution. Meaning: you need to ensure your brackets will fit over the very awkward backplate to the CPU. I had to rig a bunch of screws and stack tiny washers to make the cooler fit (BAD ASUS).ASUS, please stop shipping these motherboards with the holes for 2003 INTEL water coolers. The crap with clip-on brackets is obsolete (period). The X299 boards have built-in screw mounts that probably add $5 to the overall price - which I will gladly pay before shipping.Overall: beautiful PCB with great function between the new INTEL 11th Gen and Samsung 980 pro. It's new - so I will have to return later for an update. (Make sure you have at least a 750 watt power supply or the board will struggle). Update BIOS as necessary - especially, if you have newer hardware...

The motherboard so far is really nice!!! It has RGB lights off to the side and the CPU, RAM and SSD installation was quick and easy! The manual actually breaks down where all of the cables are supposed to go so as a first time PC builder it was really helpful! I highly recommend if you are using an AIO CPU Cooler then to install the motherboard into the case first! The motherboard has clean and sleek look to it so it looks amazing as well as works amazingly’

Always been an Asus fan, had some dead boards before but more often than not Asus is reliable. This board was perfect right out of the box.I'd also read the recent reviews that say the stock BIOS will not accept Intel's 11th gen CPUs, I'm running an i5-11600K and it was compatible right out of the box with no need to flash the BIOS.Good board from a reliable and consistent company, no brainer for someone looking to build.

wifi 6e is fast the little leds on the board are okthe debug lights are nice to have and a speaker would have been a nice included but it wasntplugged a 1-9 10900k .slapped 4strips of 8g ddr4. 1 nvme drive and an air coolerboom instant pcon board video is as expected (it works)the liverie isnt my thingto me its a mobo and it does the job well wifi is ridiculous fast I have 385mb and it works like it should both up and downLike I said it needs a speaker included and one of those all in one for the header so you can preload it for your case and some motherboard screws! these are cheapall in all the motherboard works and set up easy some things are old the VRM could be better but I am not looking to race the thing and @ the price its a good deal

I bought this back in 2022 and it's still holding up perfectly. Came back to this review because of ASUS being in the news lately. Seems like Z690 had fire hazard so I had to check again to make sure it's not that one I bought lol. Anyway this is one is super solid, still recommend, just not sure I'd buy newer stuff Since it seems asus messed up.

I have this paired with an i7-10th gen and 32gb of ram. I'm very pleased with it so far and definitely recommend it, especially for the price. I did a benchmark test and got a good score.
