Great product, noticed the improved performance in my Ford Explorer 2.3L turbocharged engine immediately even before I did a mod to my exhaust system with Magnaflow resonators which further enhanced my engines performance. People often don't realize that over time their exhaust system will start to fail and become clogged, especially if you've had a flex pipe failure which I did. When I had the flex pipe replaced its failure caused the last catalytic converter to become clogged. This last catalytic converter when clogged will drastically impact your vehicles performance and will NOT throw a check engine light as the last catalytic converter is not monitored by my Explorers engine system so I had my last catalytic converter removed when the flex pipe was replaced. No regrets now that I'm getting more air into my engine from my new K & N filter.

First off you shouldn't expect miracles from this filter. They work really well if you keep you're expectations realistic. I've used these on my last 8 vehicles and everyone has performed better and increased gas mileage at least 2 MPG. Generally you can run them a long time between cleanings if your not using them in dusty areas. Every vehicle I've put them in runs freer, you can feel the difference immediately. An engine is an air pump and the more air it can push through it the more power it will generate and the less fuel you will use. K&N claims approximately 15 - 20 HP gain and I can say that it is very believable. I just put this in my new MKZ AWD and I went from 25 MPG to 27 MPG immediately. Now that summer temperatures are here it has gone up to 29 MPG. I will continue to buy K&N filters for as long as I keep buying cars. They really are that good. The more you drive your car the better these look. Your not throwing out a filter every 10,000 miles and your picking up the savings on your increased gas mileage every mile you go. The filters easily pay for themselves in the first few months of ownership. I have a hard time believing some of these reviewers on here that claim no gains at all. As a Certified Calibration Technician I keep very detailed records of my gas mileage before and after I install each filter on my new vehicles and everyone has showed a minimum of 2 MPG rise in like driving conditions. And lets remember that even if you saw no gain in fuel economy you would still save a lot of money on the cost of just buying replacement air filters over the life of you're car. These will last as long as you own you're vehicle.

I don't know what to say, It's a filter. It is 10 fold better than a stock/paper filter you get after an oil change. It's not going to blow your mind away performance wise, but it will most definitely help your engine breath. I've noticed, after a few months now, my average MPG creeping up a bit. On average, I'm getting 6 MPG (28 vs 22) more than the stock filter and slightly better engine temperature (not much, 4-6 ° average per my readout). If you keep up with the cleaning on this, and have it in your vehicle for a while, I'd say this will pay for itself in 14-18 months. I buy K&N for all my vehicles and will continue to so long as they keep making them.

Is CNN filter will increase your horsepower slightly because it allows air to flow more easily. More air means more fuel which equals more power. I like the fact that it can be cleaned and reused over and over and over again. You will spend money on the cleaning Kit to clean these filters, but overall over the life of your vehicle, you’re going to save money by having this reusable filter.

My only negative: I purchased for around $100 and a couple weeks later saw the same item for around $80 so too bad that I paid more than I could have. Pros: 1. Easy to install! 2. Fit perfectly/correctly!! 3. Came packaged well!! 4. Came with stickers!! 5. Had some weight to the filter feels heavy duty!! 6. Right away I noticed it made my car feel like it accelerates more smoothly!! 7. Can be washed when needed!! I would strongly recommend this product, however I would make sure you purchase it when a lower price is available unlike myself. Thanks.

En lo personal he tenido buena experiencia con este filtro, en mi caso sí me ha dado un mejor rendimiento de combustible en aproximadamente un 3%. Además la instalación no presentó problemas. Si más adelante existiera alguna novedad la haré saber por este medio pero hasta el momento muy bien y la entrega muy rápida.
