Cheaper than using the main oven for small dishes!
Using both top and bottom elements, the higher range of temperatures, contents are liable to burn. Using the supplied fitted dish however at the bottom of the oven plus another dish on the tray slightly dissipates the heat distribution for a more successfully baked/heated result! Lower temperatures too appear more successful with the bottom element, Can’t comment on the top elements use only for grilling.

Handy mini oven
I'm finding this oven really useful, but there are only two of us. I've been using it for a few weeks now and this is what I've found.I'll deal with the negatives first:The fact that the slots for the tray and the rack are not continuous, which has already been mentioned in reviews is a real design error, it allows the possibility of spilling whatever you are taking out or putting in the oven. (See my photo of the interior).I'm sure it is claimed to have a self-cleaning interior, but it is not.It is only possible to achieve maximum temperature if you use the bottom and the top heating elements together. Using it in oven mode, that is the bottom heating element only, will only achieve180 degrees. The clockwork timer does not allow precise timings and I find it useless and so use the timer on my phone. The positives are:It only takes a little over 4 minutes to heat up to maximum temperature. It does cook evenly despite having to have the grill element on as well to achieve maximum temperature. (That is in the mid shelf position or lower). It is much lower wattage than a standard electric oven and therefore more economical.Overall a cheap and useful addition to the kitchen just bear in mind it is no fan oven.

light weight and easy to move
I brought this for my 75 year old sister as she is on her own and doesn't need to use a big oven. She finds it easy to use and light enough for her to move along the work top if she needs to, It heats up quickly and even she has no problems using the controls even with her arthritic fingers. It saves on her gas bill too

Great compact oven.
I used to have a cheap mini oven many years ago and was desperate to find another one for my room (limited kitchen facilities). This, however, is definitely worth the price. Although it’s compact, it actually has a decent amount of room - you can do a portion of oven chips using the tray - and it’s simple to use. My only issue (and it’s not really the oven’s fault) is the heating elements are too and bottom and therefore don’t distribute heat that evenly. It takes some practice to understand where to put the oven tray or metal shelf, to avoid burning the food.... but you get the hang of it eventually. Just don’t drop something down on to the elements, it immediately burns and there’s lots of smoke (be careful when sliding the trays in).

Temperature not accurate
Takes a long time to cook. My tesco's fish pie should have taken 23 minutes but took 40 minutes, even after pre heating. Be sure to check your food with a probe, it took 40 minutes to come to 60 degrees.
