SRAM Stealth Front Mountain Bicycle Maxle

Works great, bought a spare.
My bike came with one of these. I've been used to the quick release variety, but quickly came to love the simplicity of the big aluminum bolt. I keep a 6mm wrench in the car, with gaffer's tape wrapped around it to keep it from going in too far which keeps it from hitting the fork leg. Works really well and saves weight.I found it saves even more weight when you leave the axle at home and are at the trail head with a bike and a front wheel, and no way to connect the two. Thus, I find that a second one of these in the car accommodates my occasional derp.

Best Maxle replacement
I purchased this to replace the QR Maxle on my SID WC and I think this is the best option. I know there are two different designs of the QR Maxles but the ones that come stock on the SID that have a little flange you torque against suck as that flange always bends. The Maxle stealth is brain dead simple and lighter than all of the others. Yes you need an Allan key to remove your front wheel but you should already have one on your multi-tool. In a race it might take me longer to change a flat, but if I've got a flat, I've lost far more time than it will take me use an Allan key to remove my wheel.Pros:- Lightest Maxle- No QR that breaksCons:- Requires an Allan key

Received an incorrect part
I ordered the 'stealth' version and received the QD version. Luckily the part fits so just dealing with it is going to be less of a hassle than trying to get it replaced with the right one. Who knows, if I end up liking it maybe I'll order the QD version for my rear axle.

Perfect fit just as advertised
Works perfect on my Marin bike, i got this to replace the original latch system type axle because it was starting to give at the opening where you tighten the axle. I find it easier to use a T- allen wrench to tighten the axle.

Perfect
Perfect fit for my 2017 Trek Remedy 8 and the Rockshox Pike up front. Just ordered a rear one too! No more concerns around the lever accidentally opening or over tightening. 9-13NM DOES THE TRICK.

Stealthy indeed, great maxle!
The Stealth maxle is perfect with my Bluto RockShox. The collar on the stock quick release maxle just seemed a little shoddy to me and since I always have a 6mm allen wrench handy on my multi-tool, I decided to give it a try. It is light weight, looks sleek and stealthy, not QR handle to catch on anything and has performed well so far. Glad I gave it a try

Nice axle upgrade.
Clean look, lite weight. It is the way to go, unless you need to remove the front wheel on a frequent basis. I like the ability to accurately torque the axle.

Great thru-axle, adds a little security to your wheels
works great, solid, makes it harder for someone to steal your wheel when your bike is locked up, also a must for a Bluto fork
