Harry Potter: Collectible Quidditch Set - Accessory

As a diehard Potter fan, I was really excited when I found this. Other miniature Quidditch sets I had found were really juvenile, and almost Christmas-ornament looking. When I saw this one had a sort of aged look, and that the price was so low, I ordered it! It came yesterday and I was so happy to open it up and look inside.The trunk was actually bigger than I expected (for some reason I thought the description said 6 inches but this is like 9). The trunk itself IS made of cardboard, but it's a very thick and sturdy cardboard/cardstock material. The removable cardboard piece holding the balls is thinner cardboard, but since this is a display item and not a toy, that doesn't bother me.The balls are really cute, and actually very heavy for their size. The bludgers are probably the size of a golfball or large walnut and the quaffle is a bit bigger. I knew when I ordered this that the snitch was not removable, but for as big as the other balls are, I feel like the snitch is proportionally too big, but that's probably just me. There are some raised details on the snitch which is (I'm assuming) why it's bigger.The lock on the front is small and plastic. It doesn't seem like the keys are necessary, but it's a cute touch. The lock does seem fragile, so I wouldn't play with it too much.The poster in the bottom was also cute. It's not normal poster sized, but probably half that.Overall, it's really cute. You can't expect too much for something less than $20, and for that amount of money, I feel like I got a very good deal. This set is nicely made and a very cute addition to my Potter collection.

The Quidditch set is a great gift for anyone who loves Harry Potter. It's a bit smaller than you might imagine, but it looks pretty good as a decoration. The material is cardboard, so you have to be careful not to damage it. You can take out all the balls, except for the Golden Snitch which is glued on. I don't think it's an item to play with, but rather to use as a decoration. Despite the materials, I think it's an excellent gift and collector's item.

For that Harry Potter obsessed fan in your family this is perfect!!! I got it for my son in law and he loves it!!! Very well crafted and designed it is something he can enjoy with my grand daughters too! Thank you so much!!

They learned from the previous design mistake, and added a metal latch instead of the plastic lock and key.It’s meant to be a small display. But there are a lot more details that I would have preferred if they added, even if it would have meant an increase in price.For example, the snitch is NOT removable in this product. However In the movie it is removable and covered by an openable , attractive door that is emblazoned with the four houses. The bludgers in movie chest are chained up, but they are NOT in this product.These are minor details that would have enhanced it as a miniature of the original movie prop.Marking Harry Potter Quidditch Collectible all over the product is tacky and unnecessary. And if you’re going to tout that you added a poster, at least make it higher quality.

This is actually really cute. It's not the best materials, but still better than I expected it to be. I also thought it was gonna be really tiny because of the price, but it's a pretty good collectible size (not life size). It makes a great addition to my collection.The keys and poster are under the balls. It's a little hard to remove the inner box to get to them because it is a tight fit.And for those leaving bad reviews because the snitch doesn't have wings...have you seen the movie? The wings don't expand until it is removed from the box. Same in the last movies when Harry is given the snitch to keep. No wings there either.For $18, it's really cute. If you are looking for a life size, perfectly made set, you are gonna spend a lot more money. This will fit nicely on a shelf or dresser, look nice, and not take up too much space.

I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I basically love anything Harry Potter. I have to say though, I was particularly underwhelmed with this purchase. It just was so very cheap. Made of plastic and fairly thin cardboard. The snitch is just a half of one and glued onto the inside lid. Also the hinges are so 'shaky' I'm sort of scared to open and close the thing.Now, that being said, I do think the details are nicely done (for what it is). They are painted pretty nicely on the inside of the lid. There is a plastic lock and key that comes with it. ( That's a nice little touch). It also comes with a folded up poster. Although the balls are made of plastic, they are a heavy and sturdy plastic with some good stitching type details. I also like the size. It fits very nicely on shelf or with other HP collectibles.Overall, it's a fun little set to own (especially for an avid Harry Potter Fan), and it does look good. For the price, you won't get much better.I suppose if you want a really nice Quidditch Set, you are going to have to really invest some money into it... maybe at a place like Etsy.

So cute, got this years ago and still have it displayed. a little small but that is perfectly fine for me.
