Segway GT3 – A Daily Dose of Electric Joy!
I recently purchased the Segway GT3 electric super scooter, and let me tell you — it has absolutely blown me away.I was expecting something nice, sure — but what I got exceeded every expectation. This machine is not just a super scooter; it’s a precision-engineered, sleek beast of a commuter ride that delivers power, elegance, and an unexpectedly addictive thrill. From the moment I unboxed it, the build quality screamed premium. The frame is solid and confidence-inspiring, yet it glides across pavement effortlessly.Acceleration is buttery smooth, but when you ask for power, you get it — especially uphill, where it just refuses to quit. The battery performance is solid, though — and this is the only caveat I’ll mention — it’s not quite as long-lasting as advertised, especially if, like me, you mostly ride in RACE mode (the high-performance setting that prioritizes speed and torque over energy efficiency). It’s also important to mention that I weigh about 230 pounds, and I ride daily in the hilly terrain of San Francisco, so… well, it’s understandable that the advertised range becomes more of a best-case scenario than an everyday reality. So yes — the range might be a bit optimistic in situations like mine. But everything else about the Segway GT3 is so good, I honestly don’t mind plugging it in more often. It’s well worth it for the freedom, speed, and quality you get in return.I LOVE the Segway GT3 and I ride it daily with zero regrets.Five stars — and I’d still give it six if I could.Cheers!

Beefy, stable and comfy. Not lightweight.
The GT3 is an absolutely excellent scooter for commuters and others who want a durable, stable and powerful ride around town. This scooter is built like a tank. You won't want to carry it up and down many steps and you won't want to put in the trunk of a sedan. But if you want a ride that feels stable and makes you feel confident as a rider, this one is a good choice. The deck is big and roomy, which makes me and my big feet happy. The cockpit is nicely laid out, with controls positioned comfortably and intuitively. The suspension makes navigating the rough streets I ride on safer and less jarring. The dual disk brakes are string and reliable. They are cable-actuated, so not as powerful or self-adjusting as hydraulics, but more than adequate for city riding and a lot easier and cheaper to maintain and repair.I'm a city dweller, so range is more than adequate for me and charging time isn't an issue. Top speed is not an issue, because riding faster than 30 mph in short city blocks with lots of traffic is just not a good idea anyway. Acceleration is important and the GT3 has plenty to get me across the big intersections and to zip out of potentially hazardous traffic pockets. So far, I just don't have any serious complaints. If your use case is like mine and you don't have to carry your scooter up and down stairs, this is one that's well worth considering.

Reliable
Was excited to receive my new scooter. Got it out of the box, put it together and nothing… would not turn on or charge. Disappointing.

Quality
Perfect for my 12 year old son and his friends. Also large enough for myself and heavy quality. Th scooter fast but not dangerously fast. I would purchase again. Holds a charge well, and has blue tooth features.

Perfect for Professional Riding!!
The GT3 is an excellent entry point for riders looking to get into something more serious. The stability system is very nice and makes you feel secure while riding. There’s a lot of tech on board that makes you realize a big difference between the GT3 and other scooters that claim to go faster for the same price. The locking function is very nice, linking to Apple find is very nice, very loud bell and horn, battery life is very nice as long as you manage your speeds a bit.All in all it’s a great value, amazing ride too, loaded with features. I will say it’s a tad bit large and heavy so if you want to load it into the car you may want some help but it’s a robust frame meant to hold up through all sorts of terrains.Even if you ride hard, keep it nice and it will last you years!

Solid modern scooter but not cheap
So much fun and way more stable than the smaller ones. However, the tires were way overinflated and it was like hitting a rock at every little crack.

Better for kids than adults, also can't get wet AT ALL
The media could not be loaded. It's great to an extent - it seems to be well built, I love how it's lightweight and easy to fold up. However - I was only able to get 7-8 miles out of one charge. I'm not sure if the scooter is designed this way or if mine was defective, but the brakes (or lack of) are a bit scary. I made a point to test them out a handful of times, and when the scooter is going full speed at 12 mph, it takes at least a full car length to stop the scooter when I hit the brake. I almost ran into a few cars when I couldn't stop quickly enough. I'm not expecting it to come to a complete stop instantly of course, but I also need it to be able to stop in less than 10 feet when a distracted driver inevitably cuts me off. I also wish that this was advertised better on the Amazon listing instead of buried in the instruction manual, but the scooter apparently has very little water resistance. According to the instruction booklet, riding the scooter in the rain, or eventhrough a puddle could be disastrous. Not that I expect that the majority of scooter riders would make a habit out of riding in pouring rain, but I think it's safe to say that anyone that rides a scooter runs the chance of getting caught in an unexpected rainstorm. Apparently if that were to happen riding this scooter, there's an excellent chance that it would never work again after. So in a nutshell, it would be a great little scooter for kids that just want to ride around on their block. Not so much for adults that would rely on it to commute to and from work. I've always heard great things about the Segway company, and their scooters being very reliable, so I'm going to research some of their more expensive models and see if I can find a better fit for my needs.
