What color are the gloves and what size does this run? In other words, will it fit a 4 1/2 to 5 year old. Also, how is the quality of the material? I

Gloves are white light spandex and silver. My son of 7 years could still fit in it as it has an elastic band and it's just a regular soft polyester material. Doesn't have a perfect quality and finishing around the neck though....

Is it thick and hot? We are are in South Florida.

No it is light and airy. It went to a child in Georgia, hot there too. She has loved wearing it.
