On time, very good, slightly damaged
Book looks and feels high quality, very excited for it! its a beautiful edition. It got here exactly on time and was shipped hours after I placed the order, very fast.My only complaint is its slightly damaged on the cover (a nick on the left where it appears scratched) and the edges slow a bit of wear. Looks brand new except for those small details.

Comparison Illustrated Editions (Del Rey + HarperCollins)
Del Rey and HarperCollins both publish very similar illustrated editons of the Farseer Trilogy. I ordered both to compare them, so here are my thoughts:Harper Collins EditionPros:- rounded spine (which I prefer)- slightly more detailed cover art with metallic highlights- ribbon markerCons:- black and white chapter front pages- very white and lower quality paper, much like normal printer paper- glued binding- fragile paper cover that already shows signs of wear on the edges even on new booksDel Rey EditionPros:- slightly off-white paper, seems like better quality- Sown binding (should last longer than glued binding)- Colored chapter front pages and details in the textCons:- flat spine- glossy cheaper looking cover- no ribbon markerThe Illustrations are the same in both editions, they are absolutely beautiful, but surrounded by a rather ugly and thick frame which makes the art too small on the page. I also noticed in the HarperCollins Edition of Royal Assassin the Illustrations are crammed together in two sections of the book instead of spread out like in the Del Rey Edition. Weirdly this is not the case in Assassin's Apprentice, here all illustrations are spread out roughly to the spots of the text where they belong in both editions.Final thoughts:Ideally I would want a mix of both editions, getting the pros of both of them and also a nicer cover material. In the end I decided to send back both editions, for this price they both look too cheap for my taste.

Lovely addition to my collection!
Soo excited to finally get the illustrated version os Assassins Apprentice! The illustrations are perfect! The story has me hooked from the first chapter many years ago, and I have followed Fitz all the way through to the end. Robin Hobb wrote brilliant characters that you just had to follow. And the illustrations just brought it more to life!
