Stalingrad: The Infernal Cauldron

Very Good
Great book. Enjoyed reading it. More of an 'coffee table overview book' than a scholars hardcore bible. But great to pick up time to time to read.

Very well done
Very informative book with many interesting pictures. Walsh is a fine writer and military historian.

Stalingrad. The Infernal Cauldron
I have read most books about Stalingrad, the Eastern Front, and the Russian debacle of WW2. Therefore, to be able to provide some visual aspects to the whole sorry tale in the form of a book, is a breath of fresh air. A lot of books read, have just a few pictures, some of which are repeated here, but, this is a justified, pictorial account of the hardship endured by both sides during the conflagration. It is a harrowing tale, and deserves recognition for the manner in which it took place. This book, whilst not an in depth analysis, suffices in it's pictures and wording to give a good grounding in what took place within the beleagured city of Stalingrad.
