Celestron 94026 Telescope Bag for 8” Schmidt Cassegrain and EdgeHD Optical Tubes – Water-Resistant and Durable Carry Case with Protective Walls, Accessory Pocket and Padded Strap, Black

This is a nice case at this price point. For years I have been using the larger Celestron “cube” case as I prefer something with more padding than this simple bag provides. That worked great until I added a ZWO EAF to my EdgeHD 8 which sticks out so far it wouldn’t fit in the cube anymore. I ordered this in the 9.25 size and the length is perfect for this setup. I’ll add a foam rubber wrap for the OTA so it fits tight in this larger bag and that will be perfect for me.

I like this bag for my 8” Evolution. It looks and feels sturdy and well made and my scope fits fine. The storage pocket on the end can hold a decent amount of accessories. Comes with convenient carry and shoulder straps. I consider it to be a good value.

I bought the 9.25” bag for my Evolution 8”. This allowed enough length to accommodate the focus motor as well as an eyepiece which I don’t believe the standard 8” bag could accommodate. I can’t imagine removing the focus motor every time you travel with the telescope. The extra size also allows easier insertion and removal of the telescope. Quality and construction is excellent in every way. I would recommend this bag 100%.

This bag is nicely made, sturdy and has extra room for accessories.The main compartment is padded, though it could probably use a bit more.The bag fits "snugly"; there is not a lot of room for the OTA to wiggle but that also means that it takes some effort to get it in.The right bag for a Celestron C11.

Well made for the Celestron 8" telescope.Sturdy and perfect fit.

I got this for my C9.25 SCT.Needed a carrying bag with full zipper to slide the telescope into it easily. I Also wanted to NOT have to remove the 2inch diagonal mirror at the end, and this bag nicely met this requirement.The carrying strap, web handles seem sturdy to handle the weight of the assembly. The materials and padding should be good enough to protect the tube and mirrors. I still will be careful to not ‘bang’ the bag around. It’s far safer to carry like this for field trips.Got the C11 bag for my needs. Length is perfect. The inside strap helps to OTA to stay secure, and good amount of room if you want carry extra padding.Glad I went ‘up a size’. Other reviews said the 9.25 bag was a tight fit so this isn’t a compromise.Now I need to find something for the Mount……appreciate any suggestions!

I know this says it’s for a Celestron 9 1/4” OTA, but it works perfectly for my de-forked Meade LX90 8” SCT. The key is that I can leave the visual back and the Star Diagonal on the telescope when I put it away. With the smaller size bags the diagonal will not fit and has to be removed. It is well made and padded at one end. In addition the storage pocket is useful for things like the finder scope

Needs to be 4” longer to accommodate an auto focus motor and 2” to 1.25 adapter.Securing strap is sewn in the case in such a way that it’s very hard to wrap around the 8” Evolution. You can make it work, but lose the additional storage at the end of the case.
