I’m not sure what other reviewers had so many issues with, but aside from the fact that the roll made it a little tricky to cut and apply, this stuff was pretty simple to use and it works great. I live in a top floor apartment and my bedroom gets the sun directly in the second half of the day. It can get pretty hot. This stuff has cut that heat down immensely, and it gives a dimming effect as well, so the sun isn’t bright and beating down on my room. It feels slightly cozier. As far as application, take your time, don’t get all flustered, maybe use something to pin the corners down on the floor while measuring, marking, and cutting. Use lots of water, spray the whole window, and make sure you clean that window first. The guy who posted the crumbled mess in his trash can and wrote his temper tantrum out should be a little embarrassed. That’s user error, and you sound like a toddler, buddy.

I bought this product as I have five rectangular Windows right next to my front door and I could not find any type of window covering that would be suitable there. I ordered this product and was very well pleased with what I received. The installation was quite simple indeed. I did cut the pieces a little bit larger than they needed to be, I actually used Windex and just sprayed the Pains of glass rather than spraying the product his self as was suggested. I used a credit card to smooth out all of the bubbles and when they came to the very edge and kept recurring I took a razor knife and did some careful trimming so that the product fit the window exactly and I could not be happier. This really cuts down on the sunlight that was coming through those windows as well as stopping all the visibility that's been there all this time. I personally would recommend this product, I have seen it said that people are frustrated because it comes in a roll and curls up well that may be the case but lay it down flat 2 mean put something to hold it down when you credit and the best bet is to make a template to trace when you do that. I had a nice large piece of cardboard left from Amazon purchase that I used and it worked quite well.

Works well to keep out heat, yet still see outside. You cannot see inside during the day, but can @ night. It’s a pain to install on small window panes.

Great product, easy installation ( only challenge is to lay flat for cutting from the roll as it tends to roll backs, had to put some long pcs of hardwood planks to keep from rolling back and than cut but once cut & you peel backing & wet with soppy water it stays open for installation ) if you follow instructions and YouTube videos. will buy again for more windows for sure. Quite a difference for controlling heat and pretty good privacy definitely.

I just put a second layer of (silver) film on a 26"x42" window, and it seems to have worked just fine. I wanted to see out, but from the outside one layer of film didn't seem enough. Now from the outside (in the day), you can't see a thing even if you're right up against the window. The view from the inside is just a tad darker than with one layer, but you can still totally see out without an issue. If I have problems in the future with the layers peeling away from each other or with bubbles, it's of course easy to remove both layers and put them on again. But so far so good. Great product, actually. Tip: you don't need a lot of soap in your water, just a squirt. I used waaay too much soap for the first layer of film, and it was a total mess.
