I gave this sunscreen a real workout for its first use: a week of hiking in full, 80+ degree sunshine at high altitudes in and around Salt Lake City. We were out in full sun for 8+ hours per day while being very active. I'd apply EltaMD before we left the house and re-apply mid-day. I am pretty pale because I live in Seattle where we get a lot of gray days and a limited sunny season, so I was really pushing it. EltaMD worked perfectly. It is easy to apply and not super greasy. It blends into your skin really well so no one can tell you're wearing any kind of lotion or tinted sunscreen. The fragrance is almost non-existent so you don't smell like you're wearing sunscreen. And it was super effective: ZERO sunburn - not even some mild red or pink tones after all that sunshine. EltaMD worked exactly as I hoped. It's also very moisturizing, which was important because SLC is a very dry climate. And I didn't have any skin reactions to the sunscreen - no breaking out or anything like that.

I have been using this product for more than two years now daily and it lasts for 4 months. No white casts and it fully protects the skin under the extreme weather temperature in UAE. Highly recommend this sunscreen.

I’ve used this product for a long time. This is lightweight and goes on smoothly. It is white but completely clear upon application. You will not see it, feel it or smell it after you put it on. I live in Florida and use it daily. I’ve used it on my face too, and it is not greasy at all. We all know we need to be using a daily sunscreen. Do yourself future self a favor and get this, as it is quick and easy to apply which will make it easy to get in that habit of applying it to your arms, neck and hands every day. One bottle lasts a long time. You just put it on your bathroom counter and depress the top down, because it has a push down top. No caps to unscrew, no squeezing, no spraying, just press down. No drips either. It comes with a translucent cap which stays on very well if you pack it in a bag. I keep the cap on, just to keep it together, and it is very easy to remove. My mother has arthritis in her hands and she can easily remove the cap, because you can push it off. I did not buy this to be an “all in one” product, as my dermatologist had suggested using a sunscreen as a sunscreen and a moisturizer as a moisturizer- however, it does have a moisturizer and it does moisturize my skin, yet does not feel greasy at all. You won’t even know you are wearing it. This brand Elta Md was initially recommended to me by a cosmetic surgeon’s office after I had a procedure done. My teenage son will use it and he normally does not like lotions or any sunscreen that he can feel after he puts it on.

I have been using this as a face sunscreen for 5 years. I have sensitive skin and need a protective barrier due to using vitamin A on my face every night. This moisturizes and wears under my make up well. I feel protected throughout the day and if I am going to be out in the sun I reapply to make sure it is still protecting. My dermatologist recommended this and I always pick it after trying other sunscreens.
