Martelli 60 mm Left Hand Ergo 2000 Rotary Cutter

I am a left handed quilter and just taken delivery of this cutter. It is lovely to hold and to cut with, it fits perfectly into my grip and cuts with the fingers in a natural position. The blade position in relation to the handle makes it easy to see the line I wish to cut. I have had left handed scissors which have been a dissapointment in the past as the only things changed were the handle grips and not the descending blade but this cutter has been so carefully thought out with a lefties needs met I am blown away with it. It also looks as though a lot of thought has gone into the way the blade is changed making it safer and easier. Top marks for who ever is behind this rotary cutter.

I liked this, the first ergonomic left handed cutter I've been able to find. It takes some getting used to, and I dropped a star because I didn't find the generic blade it came with was very sharp, and replacing it was a bit more fiddly than with a standard rotary cutter. However, it is a very comfortable cutting angle, and much kinder on your wrist.

I haven't had a chance to make really good use of this cutter yet, but so far it feels comfortable in the hand and cuts better than the other cutters I have, so I am pleased with my purchase.
