Poor quality micro USB end plug
All 3 broke within a few weeks. Just like the Anker cables I bought before these. The micro USB plug end is too fragile on these cables. The cable itself is great. It's the plug that's failing. This is getting more and more common over the last few years. These cables claim to use stainless steel connector heads like Hoisan uses. That's why I got them. It does not last like it's made of stainless steel however. Maybe the outside is stainless steel but the contacts are not? Or they are simply very thin stainless steel? Whatever the case is, my Hoisan cable which I bought at the same time and used just as much, is still working great. All the Ailun cables no longer work.A lot of recently made micro USB cables are now using very fragile micro USB plugs made of aluminum unfortunately, and these usually have internal contacts that go bad easily. At first they work great. Then after a while the contacts bend from normal use. Then you have to tilt the micro USB plug in order for the cable to charge a phone. This affects some phones more than others. I happen to have a phone that is sensitive to these contacts bending slightly. So I need really good quality cables. They are getting harder to find.I have several cables that are over 5 years old, that I used thousands of times with my phone, and they still work. So I know it's a cable quality issue, and is not a user usage issue. I don't abuse my cables. So far, the only new cable I've purchased in the last few months that has a good quality micro USB plug that has lasted more than a few weeks is Hoisan. All of the others have gone bad. The Hoisan cables very obviously use a different micro USB plug than most of the other brands out there. It's a little longer, fits my phone better, and the plug end appears to be actually made of good quality stainless steel. The internal contacts are also supposed to be stainless steel. I can't see them, so it's hard to know for sure. This is how most cables used to be made. Now the cable manufacturers are cutting costs on the micro USB plug, replacing stainless steel with aluminum! Really! In no way is aluminum a good choice for a plug. It is too soft and bends far too easily. Some phones are fine with slightly bent contacts so some people don't notice this issue in these cables. My phone is very sensitive to this, unfortunately.I need longer cables than Hoisan provides, so I'll need to find another brand with quality micro USB plugs on them. The search continues.

Sturdy, durable and good quality
Wasn't expecting much from this price point but each of the three cables in my box were of very good quality. The braided cables definitely made a difference on my desk, and after several days of use has not coiled up or tangled with any other cable nearby. The cable as a whole is pretty stiff to it does not bend easily. But if you keep the cable bent for too long it will retain the bent shape, but that can be fixed by flexing the cable the other way. The only thing I would change is the microUSB heads, which are longer than I would prefer and sticks out quite a bit from any phone. It may just be an aesthetic difference but the modern design trend has been to make these connections as small and discrete as possible, which is good for being able to bend and flex at the connecting points. Overall this is good value for money and all three have been functioning properly so far for us.

Does the job
I will say that some of the shorter cables charge faster for me. However, there are a couple of places where I tend to toss a tablet or phone on the charger and still want to be able to use it without hugging the charger. These are great for that. Also when I am using a battery pack to charge, and have the batter pack in a pocket of my backpack, the longer length is way more convenient. I can operate the phone or tablet without thinking about the cable length. One of my kids has managed to bend the end that plugs into his tablet, but that is because his case pushes on the plug. Aside from that and the slightly slower charging, there are no issues.

50/50 chance yours wont work.
In december, i bought this. they arrived fine, they worked fine. i needed another replacement in april, as i was using the cords for other things and wore them down. i thought to myself, "oh! ill buy the same ones!" that was my mistake. they came, looked fine. none of them worked the way they were supposed to. had to bend to make work. so. if you really want these, take a chance!
