Made and keep these heavy speakers in place.

I've read several reviews on this product before purchasing many of them complained about this unit not being sturdy for such a heavy speaker. Here's my honest assessment. The brackets I received were made very well heavy duty steel and strong. However, the install instructions were subpar and extremely difficult to understand. I had to figure out how to assemble the bracket through trial and error. But once assembled the bracket worked very well. The speaker is very heavy for how small it is but the bracket holds it tight

Where do I begin? First, step 3 speaks to “installing adhesive on the bracket edges”. I can only assume this is to prevent the brackets from scratching the speakers. Great plan, but of the two brackets I purchased, neither had and adhesive to attach. As a result, I had to implant install some magnetic tape to prevent the brackets from scratching the speakers.Second: step 5 says to “ install the fan shape bracket…”. Doing this before installing the power cord will prevent you from being able to connect the power cord. So you either have to grind the end of the bracket down, or connect the power cord then struggle with attaching the bracket. Great idea, poor construction. Return may be pending.

All the reviews are right. The good ones and the bad ones. There are no instructions. If your are not a complete incompetent you can figure it out. The metal is not "strong". Lots of flex based on the weight of the Sonos Five speaker.Do they work, yes. Are they pretty, nope. Does the paint chip off super easily, yup. Can you find touch up paint to even remotely color match, nope.So. I bought these because I could not find any other options for a Sonos Five speaker.It took me a few times to get things exactly how I wanted and how I felt comfortable.A few things you need to know.1. You have to put the power in the back of the speaker before you install the bracket.2. You should very gently bend down the top bracket arms so that when you mount the speaker and the bracket flexes your bend compensates.3. The included mount hardware is garbage. Like all mounting hardware, so bring your own.4. The threads on the bracket screws are very short. Also, see #3, do not overtighten.5. There is no beauty plate/cover to hind the wall mount plate or other. It is located behind the speaker so not that big of a deal.6. You can not do this alone. Bring a strong friend. You or they will have to hold the entire weight of the speaker over your head while the angle bolts are secured.7. The brackets allow for tilting. I found if you tilt the speaker there is additonal weight on the bottom bracket, causing it to flex. This flex creates a gap at the top bracket. You can compensate for this by removing the speaker, taking the entire thing apart, and then gently bending the top bracket again, then repeating the entire process. Not fun.As my good friend Forget says, "that's all I got to say about that"

Was very straightforward to install. Flexible rotation style is nice too.
