They work! They work! They work!
I’m so happy with these. I live in a 103-year-old building with incredibly hard water and galvanized pipes. I use water from my Brita Elite pitcher so it’s filtered, including most particulates. Still, my humidifiers were filling my home with white dust, so I’d stopped using them. This winter, I bought the Levoit demineralizers and gave them a try. They worked for about 3 days then I once again had white dust everywhere. At that rate, I’d go broke replacing filters! As a last resort, I tried these. They were on a lightning deal, so I decided to take a chance. Based on other reviews, I added 3 to my humidifier tank. That was 3 weeks ago and I still have NO white dust. These work!

Work great and cute too
They are working quite well. Usually I have to descale the humidifier after every other fill but it’s still going with no sediment! Those fishies are floating like champs.

Concenient and Works well if you use several a month
They are convenient and do work. My humidifiers are 3.5 and 5 liters and I run them almost continuously during the Wisconsin winter with the heat running constantly. I put 2 in each. Initially, it kept down the mold and the white powder residue. But, it didn't last a month. I need to change them every 2 weeks. My other option would be to try using 4 in each humidifier and see if that lasts a month. Cost wise, a 12 item order only lasts 3 months per humidifier, which is $6.50 a month. The liquid bacterial/mold chemical is more cost effective but not as convenient, so I will continue to use these.

These have worked well to reduce "white dust"
These work in ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers to reduce the "white dust" from hard water. These have worked well for us. Keep in mind that we do do not have a water softener system, and we not have a lot of mineral content in our well water, so your results might be different. That said, when we first tried ultrasonic humidifiers we noticed a significant amount of white dust after a couple of week's use despite our relatively soft water. We saw these on Amazon and gave them a try. The reduced the dust problem significantly. We use 6-8 beads in each humidifier, more than the instructions specify, but the results have been excellent. With 3 humidifiers running 24/7 in a 1300sf area we have no problems with dust. Again, your results will vary depending on the hardness of your water, but these have worked well for us.

Great choice
Items as described. Easy to use in the humidifier I have in my son’s room. Does not fall apart or leak. Great value for money.

Still have buildup inside unit
I'm giving 3 stars because they are cute, the downside is I'm still seeing buildup inside my humidifiers daily. May try a different product. I fill them fresh daily and trying to avoid buying a ton of DI water.

Seems to keep white mineral from forming
Apparently works, because I neglected to clean my new humidifier for weeks (although not used every day), and when I finally did wash it, there was no white mineral. I'll keep using them.

Does not "demineralize" water.
I bought these for two reasons: anti-biocontaminant and the claim it will de-mineralize water. These balls are silver impregnated... and that is the ONLY active ingredient. Silver will not demineralize water. It will not eliminate or even reduce "white dust"... which is calcium that comes from the water itself. As an anti-bio device it's fine; silver is well-known for killing unwanted bacteria. But advertising it as a demineralization device is hogwash. Regarding how long they last: some people report they last a year. That seems more far-fetched imagination than reality. Others say they last a month. That's fine; if it lasts a month this box contains enough to last at least a year. As a bacteriostat, that's acceptable. I rate this one star for questionable advertising claims. Demineralization? Hardly. You'll still wind up with white dust all over the place.
