GK1000-RV Vegetable Garden Drip Tape Irrigation Kit. Great for the backyard gardener; the Kit includes everything to get started with drip irrigation. The 1000 ft of drip tape has emitters/outlets already installed 12" apart inline; just cut the drip tape to desired length (limit single run length to about 450 ft on level grade) and attach to the main line using the row fittings to configure your specific layout and application. The Kit also Includes: a pressure regulator, fittings to hook to a hose bibb or standard Garden Hose, 100' of 1" main line (header), 10 Row fittings with row valve, end plugs for the header line, 2 drip tape couplers, 1 main line coupler, 1 screen filter (reusable), 1 hole punch, 10 hole plugs (mistake plugs), 10 drip tape end closures. Other items can be added to complement the system such as timers, injectors (for fertilizer and chemicals), and extra fittings. This is the same material used by commercial farmers. Kit items are UV protected to prevent degradation from the sun, and lasts for multiple seasons of use with proper care. Benefits of Drip/Micro Irrigation: Highly uniform system eliminates waste of water and fertilizer. Precise control of soil moisture (equals healthier plants due to lower plant stress). Localized application of the water lessens weed competition. Low pressure system = lower energy input = lower operating costs. Flexible watering schedule since plant foliage is not wetted. Easily automated. Slow application rate = large areas with small flow rates = fewer zones and lower system cost. Drip Tape offers precise placement of water and very high application uniformity. Not sufficient system, almost killed my transplants from lack of water
Firstly, it arrived quickly, well packaged, installation was quick and easy. But, after the first month of only using this drip system for watering, almost all my seeds didnt germinate and the transplants were practically dead. The system was on a orbit timer, with air hammer and ran 5 hrs nightly from dusk to 3am. The system operated as it was designed too, the timer was not faulty either. There was just not enough water distributed from the lines even when ran for 5 hours. I had to switch back to the orbit tripod ocilating sprinklers to save my crops. I imediatly saw improvement from switching back to the old system. I had to replace 1/2 the vine starters that had died from under watering the first month. System was installed in June, switched to back to the old system July. I think the 1000 feet was too much for enough water distribution. Would not buy again.

Great Kit
I didn't know where to start with what pieces to get so I bought the kit. I hooked it up to a 1" line ran to the garden with an automatic sprinkler vale.Took about two hours to lay 11 rows in our 4200 sq/ft garden. If you use two people it goes a lot faster when you start flushing the lines. I didn't encounter any issues hooking it up, I put the tape onto the valves and tightened them, plugged the attached valves into the main line, then just ran the tape. It helps to have the water running to the main line to hold everything down and make adjustments to the main line's location as you go.Time will tell how many seasons it will last, but any additions or replacement parts should be a cinch to know what I need.

If You Have A Garden, Drip Irrigation Will Change Your Life
I live in a dry climate, and simply could not keep up with the watering demands of my 1,500-square-foot garden last year. There were times when I ran large impulse sprinklers for long hours, and I still lost a lot of organic produce. After installing the drip system, I simply have to open one valve and the entire garden receives ample water, and only to the plants...not the unplanted areas between rows (keeps the weeds to a minimum).Installation was simple and quick. It helps to have another person when rolling out the drip tape, but you could easily do it alone; it would just take a little longer.Like the title says, this system has changed my life.

Complete kit that gets you going
I didn't know much about drip irrigation and had never set up a system before but this went very well and months later continues to support daily irrigation of a lot of vegetables. Components, drip tape, poly hose, and the rest work as advertised.

Great starting point for my large rased bed garden
Great starting point for my large rased bed garden. Every thing in this kit worked well. I only had a problem with the 90% 1" connector for the poly pipe purchased from same manufacture witch I don't recommend. Use connector for sprinklers at local hardware store with clamps if you need 90% or T connection for below ground. Drip tape works well

Poor quality
The product is very poor quality for the price! As I put the parts together, the regulator broke immediately and it was not over tightened! The 1" poly line kinks way too easily and the drip tape is extremely thin and rips easily. I am returning the product.

Great system
Great size kit for the home gardener. One page of instructions might leave SOME people scratching their heads but it goes together quick, smooth, and easy. We ordered extra valves and ends. We set up a 12 row x 75 foot system in about 3 hours. They have smaller and larger kits as well is replacement parts.

3 stars... could be 5
Very easy to install. Very neat looking. Very practical. Here is the one problem I continue having with this. I'm constantly having to reattach the drip tape to the Barbed Takeoff Valves. They pop off randomly due to pressure buildup. Using the pressure regulator that comes with the kit. I'm going to be purchasing a cheap regulator from another brand and hope it solves the issue. "I don't know if its a pressure issue or and issue with the Barbed Valves. For now until I try a new pressure regulator I wont know. And duct tape on all 35 valves does the trick. I wish I could give this 5 stars because it makes life so much easier and works. But duct tape or other tinkering is needed.
