Nite Ize Hitch Phone Anchor Plus Tether

I love the carabiner part and all.. just that the tiny part sticking out from bottom of the phone… is very weak! Its made out of one layer of cloth folded in a ring.. i have now been using this not hanging on my wrist or anything.. and already tearing on the edges..

Bought this for a trip and this one is very durable. No regrets buying it. One thing to keep in mind, pick-pockets can still grab this from your wrist. It’s a great item to keep the phone with you but you still gotta be extra careful when on a trip outside the country.

This has tiny locks that turn to keep s hook closure secure. The plastic spiral wristband is also thick plastic and sturdy. Highly recommend. This did change my hard plastic iPhone case a little, so bad plastic phone case didn’t fit charging cord well. Replace with silicone case and it works great do I don’t drop my phone when traveling.

I bought the Nite Ize Hitch Plus Tether - Phone Case Anchor and Tether for Drop Protection - Clear Tether.This thing works just barely OK.The "Phone Anchor" square patch, that goes in between the back of my phone and my phone case, was already starting to separate when I opened the package. So, that makes me very nervous about how well the nylon "Anchor Loop" will stay held inside the Anchor Patch!The clear tether coil is way too short! Maybe mine was defective? The coil measures 3.125 inches unstretched, and measure at a 14.125 inch maximum stretch!So, basically, I do not trust this Anchor Patch and Loop to hold my Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus if I accidently dropped it!And, no way can I use my phone it I have one end attached to my belt loop or even my purse as the clear tether coil is just way too short!For me, I'll be looking for a better solution, but along the same idea as this item.

I've never used a phone tether so there's been a learning curve. I like being able to fasten the phone to my purse or use the tether as a bracelet. It feels very secure. I've used a particular brand of low profile phone case for many years and have only had a problem when my phone landed face down on a rock. That cracked the screen protector. After using this tether for 2 weeks, I have multiple screen protector cracks even though the phone has not been dropped or handled roughly. The tab for the tether lifts the phone in the case enough that the edges of the screen protector are exposed and much more prone to abrasions on the edges. I suspect it is also placing pressure on the back of the phone cause extra tension inside the case. I will have to stop using it.
