Rain Wizard 40 Gallon Rain Barrel with Darkened Ribs - Oak

Happy with the product so far but 2 things that I didn't expect: the horizontal bands around the barrel are the same color plastic as the main barrel, not dark, highlighting the plasticky-ness of the barrel; and the opening at the top does not have a hole for the drain pipe but rather has a mesh screen for water to go through that prevents debris from entering the barrel. The drain pipe has to line up with the mesh and in hard rains the water may splash off rather than going into the barrel. We put some screws into the mesh to hold the drain pipe in place. I would have liked to have understood that from the description as the image makes it look like the pipe goes into the barrel. Other than that it is great. Note the pipe extension is sold separately.

Need to divert water without having to dig; captures the water and then diverts it to a drain.

It is a nice water barrel, but the one delivered to me, did not have the darkened ribs as shown. I will have to paint them myself, darn, plus no faucet or instructions included.

This is like reviewing a bucket. What's a bad bucket? It holds water. It looks nice in my front yard. I am more than satisfied with my purchase. I don't really know what else you can say.

Added this to utilize rain water for watering flowers. It works perfectly and with the stand is very easy to fill a watering can

great barrel , just what I was looking for. All hooked up and plenty of water for garden. Looks nice too.

Finally recieveed after delivery mis hap but all is good as expected and what needed for. Was a little disappointed once it rained that the barrel had a small hole in the side of it. So of it gets 1/4 full or so it sprouts out the side every where. Ugh

The top plate was cracked and we taped it up but I would like a new one. It is not really a pretty color.
