SmartThings Aeotec Zigbee Motion Sensor - automatic control of light integrated temperature sensor, compatible with Echo Plus and Philips Hue.

These were purchased to replace my Samsung sensors. I've owned the Samsung SmartThings equipment for a few years now and the only piece of kit that has lasted is the hub! The original sensors by Samsung eat batteries like they're going out of fashion and a few have only lasted a couple of years. I've also had to replace the arrival sensors a few times. I needed to find a good replacement and these are great. Connected in minutes and they promise the batteries will last over a year. Used with Philips Hue lights, for automations, and everything works perfectly. Very much recommended.

I’ve a number of different zigbee motion sensors (used with hubitat) and I find these are the best both in terms of reliability, aesthetics and build quality.

I would have given 5 if the price had been better. £10 more expensive than when owned by Samsung. That said its well built, the magnet ball is really useful for tuning the angles and it integrates well with Alexa as long as you have a compatible hub.

Ok, so purchased this to replace a generation 1 smarthings motion sensor which had failed. I had been waiting for this to come into stock for a while as all the smartthings sensors were had to get hold of with Samsung selling the hardware section of smartthings to Aotech. First impressions are this is a solid well built unit. Feels more robust than my gen 1 unit. Absolutely love the mount and the 3m tape it comes with is perfect for sticking it up. The mount feels solid and gives you the option of pointing the sensor at varying angles due to its magnetic "ball and joint" system. Can't really comment on the battery life as I have only just received the unit, but gen 1 unit lasted months, so would expect the same. Setting up couldnt be easier, just pull the clear tab from the battery compartment and either connect through smartthings hub or directly to a echo 4th gen or earlier eccho device with an integrated zigbee hub. From here routines etc can be created Easy as...

Simply my go to sensor for standard motion sensors. (Used most). Long battery life and good Zigbee connection to various smart home hubs.

I already own SmartThings equipment including the Samsung SmartThings version of this sensor and the Samsung version seems to work much better than the Aeotec one even though they are supposed to be the same thing...

sensor sticks to any steel fittings, got mine on a wall light, barely noticeable.

I have been immensely impressed with this MS, the Zigbee transmitter is fast & responsive, allowing my hall light to light up the very moment I enter the hall area, either through the front door or out of the lounge area - either way, it catches my movement and almost instantly lights up the area for me. Great Stuff!

La AEOTEC è sempre una garanzia in materia di domotica. Il sensore è molto piccolo, è dotato di un piccolo supporto con un potente magnete a cui agganciare il sensore, dall'altra estremità invece è possibile fissarlo in qualunque punto grazie a un potente adesivo 3M. Minimale nel design, ha un tempo di risposta tra i migliori in assoluto, lo utilizzo in combinazione con una lampadina smart che si accende al passaggio durante la notte. Batteria di lunga durata e timeout per il rilevamento (tempo per passare dallo stato "Movimento rilevato" allo stato "Nessun Movimento") decisamente inferiore alla media!

Bonjour, Fonctionne très bien en scénario alarme. Helas il ne fait pas capteur de luminosité donc impossible à utilisé pour un scénario jour/ nuit .
