I bought this book a a couple of years ago after watching Josh do a webinar with another business coach that we follow.I loved his 6 levels of growth and the revelation that I actually owned a job rather than a wealth generating businessReading this book was the start of a journey of education to change that.And, as my business grows or faces a new issue that is stunting our growth or disrupting our progress, I keep coming back to the different bottleneck chapters to find the cause.It's not just great for smaller business owners like me. I also use it to help our bigger £1m+ clients who find themselves stuck and unable to grow beyond a certain figure.Josh is really good at simplifying concepts that I might not even have considered and providing solutions that are easy to follow.There are some great action steps at the end of each bottleneck chapter to put you on the right track.And there are also some really great online bonuses and opportunities for ongoing help.

I've been running my own business for 15 years now, and the biggest challenge I've had to scale is building a leadership team with effective executive compensation agreements for their retention, and working with them enough to understand the core values and business model to make key decisions without me and on my behalf. I really learned I need to pay leadership not so much for what they "do", but rather for their responsibility. In fact, I need to always repeat our mission, vision, and core values, near-daily in our employee huddles, "because what you say all the time in your head to yourself does not count." This is an excellent book, and if you're a small business owner who's looking for a key insight to help you pull yourself out of your business so it runs without you, where you get paid for what you own (and not what you do), I highly recommend it.
