Works!
This pre-filter worked amazingly well for my parents 16ft diameter pool. When my dad tasked me with buying him one from Amazon, there were a lot of options, and I was a little lost. I ended up going with this one because another reviewer for a similar one said resin works best for well water, and that's what my parents have.Fast forward a few days later (fast shipping). It fit well on the hose. I'll just cut to the chase and say that this filter worked so well removing the iron and rust in their hose water. Its actually unbelievable. Normally their pool looks like chocolate milk for the first couple of months, no joke, you couldn't see the bottom. But the pool was clear day one using this filter, and even better after the pool filter had a chance to run too. We did add a little metal out liquid as the pool was filling. But my dad thinks most of the success goes to this filter.

Perfect water from bad water. My spa and skin are happy!!
This product is amazing, and I don’t like leaving reviews unless something totally works. I have a 150 gallon spa and extremely hard water from th tap. There was no way to get the calcium hardness down and balancing TA and pH was very troublesome until I found this product. I drained my spa, installed the filter on my garden hose and filled up. I’ve tested the water a dozen times and it’s near perfect without any chemicals other than a 1” bromine tablet in my filter. Two photos attached. 1st is a test strip with the old water I attempted to balance and bring pH down on. 2nd photo is the test strip from the spa after refill using this filter.I would buy again... only complaint is the fittings and my hose is stuck on the filter until I figure out how to get it off. I also hope this is reusable. I’ll find out in about a month when it’s refill time.

Made Pool water crystal clear and easier to start up
I bought 2 filters to fill up my 15,000 gallon refurbished pool. It didn't reduce the calcium as much as I had hoped(it was lower by about 50ppm from tap) however it did filter out all the other sediment, the water when filled was crystal clear and free of particulates almost wanted to drink it - the Pool guy who did the work was amazed at how clear it was, he said that they filled up one a few days earlier and it was cloudy. So to have a cleaner pool water to start, it reduces the amount of chemicals you have to add, and increases the life of the water, I added the salt, acid and conditioner and Pool is still crystal clear. I recommend this for anyone who has tried to keep the chemicals to a minimum, as water can only hold onto so many minerals before it becomes ineffective.

Not a Big Fan!
Not really a big fan of the Resin filter. Also have to report like other people who have reviewed this product, IT LEAKS very bad right around the gasket at the hose connection, I tightened it with a wrench and it still leaked spraying everywhere. Pro's: you can filter I believe up to 1000 Gallons of water compared to the regular filter which filters around 350 gallons, I like the standard filter, the water was clearer and the minerals did the rest. Not going to buy a resin filter again. Going back to a standard filter.

Bought it to lower hard water levels in my hot tub
Works much better than I expected, my hard water levels in my hot tub are much lower and it makes keeping my chemicals level much easier not to mention that it's much better for my hot tub not to have all the calcium build up!

Waste of money and time.
I bought this to keep my misters from clogging with minerals from well water. I saw the reviews about leaking. I bought this filter anyway thinking most reviews are the "outlier complainers". The "OUTFLOW" fitting is 1/2" diameter and does NOT attach to a garden hose ( 3/4" diameter threads). I bought a 1/2" to 3/4" bushing and also used teflon tape and some nitrile O-rings to keep both ends from leaking. The leaks are not just trickles of water. The threads are not made correctly, too much clearance and too deep to compress the included washer. The misters clogged in the same amount of time as when unfiltered. Conclusion: This filter is a complete waste of money and time.

Does what it should, I like it
The water flow seems good. I personally have trouble telling if it's really filtering much out, but am assuming it does. The water in the hot tub seems to be nice and clean, and remains that way for long periods of time (just adding standard shock, bromine, etc to the hot tub).To my my life easier, I screwed in a quick connect hose bib. So I can switch between the various garden hose attachments I've got without leak problems.

Removed metals
Worked well. I had my water tested a few day after filling the hot tub. I have hard water with plenty of iron in it. Basically no metals in the water. I am still a little high on calcium but hope that changes so that I don't have to purchase one of those calcium binders.
