This gasket is just what I needed. I took my pool filter apart to clean it and when I put it back together the gasket leaked. This was the first time I had disassembled this particular filter. It has not been disassembled since I installed it 20 yrs. ago. Anyway, when I reassembled the filter the gasket would not seat properly. I needed one right away. It would take 6-7- days to get it from a local pool store. Amazon had access to one that I could have the next day and was about half the price of the pool store even with the extra money for next day service. The gasket worked perfectly and I had the filter working that same day. Thanks Amazon for the great service and the abundance of parts and accessories that you have access to. I can always turn to Amazon when I need something that I can't get anywhere else.

Works as it should

After cleaning out the filter and reassembling I tightened the bolt to my drills torque setting. That's when I thought the old diaphragm gasket needed to be replaced (I thought it might have been hardened or compressed too often) as there was a constant leak around the collar. I realized after replacing the diaphragm gasket and reassembling it that I didn't follow the instruction label (spring coils touching) in the photo the first time. Duh! The old gasket is probably still good; saving as a spare.Hayward ECX5000G works for Hayward EC50AC.

Exactly what we needed, much cheaper then the pool store!

Used this to replace same gasket with hole in it. The washer/gasket/rubber washer packet is good to get as you remove them to get to the gasket.Similarly, you might want to replace the stainless steel nuts/bolts as mine were pretty corroded from years of wear. Check yours out.Not a particularly difficult replacement to do.
