I am a mom of four, so I have a lot of experience with toddlers. My two year old got these eggs for Christmas and they have been a hit with him and my 5 year old (both boys). They make nests with blankets, hide them, play "cooking", etc. The eggs are very durable as is the carton. I would recommend these as a gift or educational toy for ages 2&5.

The Little Ones ( 2 and 4 year olds ) Play With These Eggs All The Time. Not Just MatchingThem, But Cracking Them to Make Breakfast, Hiding Them, Hatching Them ... etc. Geesh, Their Imaginations Are Wonderful to Watch - With These Simple Eggs.

I love this for my 2 1/2yr old. Once the shapes are matched up the eggs don't take alot of pressure to close, but surprisingly will stay shut. So when holding the egg up by the top half, the bottom half stays put and you still have a full egg. Little details like that make a huge difference. The carton feels sturdy and stays shut. I would definitely buy this as a gift.

My nephew was able to open up the carton,Dump the eggs, he can open the eggs, and he can toss them. He’s not quite old enough yet to know how to match them up. But he looks forward to using them when I come over

I bought these for my grandson and he loves these things like they are his friends, lol he takes them apart and puts them back together but he doesn’t have to understand the colors and shapes just yet, he’ll grow with them and right now they give him so much joy.
