Yes it is very possible and in fact probable that they will unscrew on you. I have not seen cable key keepers that will stay closed all the time. What I do is on the male end not the barrel end, I put a little nail polish on the threads and then wipe most of the heavy nail polish off so it's just lightly on the threads. Let it dry. Most important to let it dry and then the little bit of polish that is left will give your threads enough bite so they stay closed and open easily. If you never want it to open screw together while it's wet.

Would this work for hanging dog collar tags? I need something different than the metal rings.

Technically yes, but depending on your dogs size and/ or activity it may be just big enough to get caught up on something, or something caught thru it. If your fingers are nimble enough, you might be able to wrap it twice around a dog tag on a collar and still close the ends, which might be what you are looking for......

What is the diameter of the 6.3" ring?

To get the diameter of the ring (not the cable itself), divide the length of the cable (which will be your circumference once you connect the ends into a ring) by pi (3.14). So 6.3 ÷ 3.14 = ~2 . The diameter of the ring is almost exactly two inches.

Will these fit though Perler beads?

I don’t think the ends of it would fit through the beads. Maybe if the screw parts weren’t there, yeah it’d fit

Erfüllt seinen Zweck und hält zu.

Ich habe für die Arbeit eine Karte in einer Kunststoffhülle, an der oben eine Aussparungen zum Befestigen, an z.B. einen Zipper, ist. Ich habe die Karte aber zusammen mit dem Schlüssel für mein Büro an einem Schlüsselring befestigt. Durch den starren Schlüsselring bricht die Aussparung an der Karte aber ständig ab. Mit diesem etwas flexibleren Schlüsselring passierte das bisher nicht mehr. Die Verschraubung ist seit dem ersten Verschließen zu und löst sich scheinbar auch nicht von alleine.
