LOVE THESE!! A must for my gym bag
I was first introduced to this product by my partner. When i got into lifting i started getting callouses and they would be uncomfortable. I tried traditional lifting gloves but hated how restricted my hands felt. When i saw him using these i decided to give them a go. They are wonderful! They give you the freedom to move your fingers without feeling restrained but also enough cushion to protect your hands from the bars. I have been using these on and off for years and recently had to buy another pair after losing one of my beloved gloves. These are a MUST for my gym bag and they last quite awhile too. As a disclaimer, i still get very light callouses even when using these regularly but it doesn’t bother me. When you are in the gym lifting 4x a week something has to give and they give me the protection i need. Highly recommend for anyone that lifts weights.

If you're worried about callouses or dropping weights, buy these!
Been using the gym paws since the day I got them in the mail. I'm a gym newbie (and a woman) so I was having a hard time with callouses on my hands. I don't like the look of them, nor the feeling. After a day or two of researching I came across the gym paws and decided that real leather was going to be my best option. I love them! I don't have to worry about feeling like I'm wearing mittens in the gym and my grip ability has improved by about 40 lbs since the skin on my hand doesn't feel like it's going to rip off! ...my husband borrows mine to do the row machine and really likes the added protection from the knurling on the grips. ....I also enjoy that it protects my wedding ring since I hate taking off my band for a workout.Pros:DurablePortableComfortableImproves grip ability without being "in the way"Cons:None thus farUPDATE AUG 2017: Still awesome. No tears, rips or busted seams! My husband even borrows them from time to time! Awesome product. Totally worth the money!

Great to use on the Concept2 rowing machine
I row every other day at a fairly strenuous pace on the Concept2 rower for 45 minutes, and find these mini-gloves essential for warding off hand fatigue. Just enough padding and no extra material to make them bigger them they need to be. I've used these for years and would have a tough time rowing without them. They don't last forever, but more than long enough to make them seem reasonably priced.

The durability and functionality they provide are great, except for the edge stitching
GymPaws Real Leather Hand Pad Workout Glove Alternatives are my go-to choice for workouts, and for good reason. They offer excellent hygiene and are easily washable, which is a huge plus. I like how minimal they are and easy to get in and out of vs. a full glove. The slightly padded palm and four-finger loop design makes them comfortable and functional for both men and women. The durability and functionality they provide are great, except for the edge stitching, which tends to pill over time. This slight issue with the stitching doesn't diminish the overall quality of the gloves, making them a reliable choice for workouts.I keep coming back to GymPaws because they do the job well while providing a good grip and protection during workouts. If only the edge stitching were improved, these gloves would be near perfect.

no fuss, subtle choice
For those looking for something that doesn't wrap around the wrist and has enough heft against a bar, these are great. I usually go through two pairs per year on a 5 - 6x/week gym schedule.

Ay, Papi! My forearms!
I lift heavy 3x/week and cardio train in between, and have been lifting for over 5 years. I have been trying to increase weights each week, but am finding my hands poop out and start to fatigue as the session goes on. My grip strength is pretty impressive, so it wasn't grip I was worried about, just hand fatigue (I may also have early carpal tunnel, which could play a role). I also have some pretty significant calluses (which I am not against but wouldn't mind some more "feminine" hands if I can swing it. I used traditional gloves many years ago (with fair results), and thought that I'd give it a try again. Then I stumbled on the "GymPaws", and my interest was piqued. I ordered a pair, and broke them in one day so far this week with an upper body training session, with the outlined results below:1) I could definitely lift heavier, and perform more sets (deadlifts, dumbbell rows, even bench press). My hands did not wear out nearly as soon into a set.2) Pull ups are a challenge! My gym has pull up bars that are slick, and I found myself grabbing harder onto the bar, which wore me out more quickly.3) The next day, my forearms are CRYING. I have not had sore forearms, I think ever, and today is a little miserable. I am a massage therapist, so you can imagine I need all "hands" (and forearms) on deck. A little stretching and massage will probably help alleviate the lactic acid now built up in those muscles, but it did leave me questioning WHY my forearms are so sore!I have an idea for why my arms are sore: I have been relying on hand and wrist strength/stability to perform my heavier lifts. With the GymPaws, I am relying less on my grip strength and more on muscle strength of the lower arm. This is fine, as it obviously shows me where a weak area is, but man do I wish I had been prepared for this pain! I wonder if other users have experiences this? I'm sure others can commiserate.I plan to alternate lifts using the GymPaws so I don't lose grip strength. Do several sets with and without the Paws. Hopefully over time I find myself less sore and stronger than ever! I do appreciate the overall design compared to the average lifting glove, but maybe one problem is that as a female, I have shorter fingers and so (unlike in the advertised pics), my fingers do not extend as far past the end of the pad.Update to come later, stay tuned!

Definitely worth the purchase!
I had purchased a similar product to try in the past for use with my concept 2 rower. My fingers tend to get very sore when I use the rower without any sort of hand protection. I had to stop rowing completely for awhile. The other product I purchased; although it did provide hand protection, was not comfortable at all and I stopped using it shortly after I got it.These GymPaws are MUCH more comfortable and practical. The leather feels like it is high quality and the gloves fit snug without constant movement. So far they seem to be very durable. I expect that they will last a long time.I look forward to being able to use my rower daily without contstant finger pain. Definitely worth the purchase.

No need to buy any other gym gloves.
No need to buy any other gym gloves with these. With other gym gloves, you sweat and they stink, these Gym Paws I had my last pair for other two years and did not have that problem at all. That’s just cosmetic though, the actual gloves are fantastic – chiefly because they cover your fingers up past your knuckle and down into your palm, so a much bigger surface area is covered on the hand, making lifting a lot more comfortable. With other gym gloves they don’t cover enough of your hand and you still get calluses. They are the perfect thickness, so they don’t make bars seem thicker, and they’re especially good for chin ups/pull ups because they give your hands a firmer base of support in the dead hang. Great for deadlifting too – if your gym has the thinner Olympic sized bars and you have these then the grip is perfection. Wouldn’t use any other glove as long as these are being made.
