Organic Cotton Mesh Laundry Bag; Machine Washing Bags for Delicates, Lingerie and Garments, Medium 2 pack

[Updated October 20, 2022] Overall, these are terrific. I searched high and low for cotton wash bags and these seem to be the only brand available - which is sad but I'm glad they exist. They come packaged in a manilla envelope. I ordered 2 of the Large size to test them out, but I would not hesitate to order more because my initial experiences have been very good.I use them primarily in a cold water wash. Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem untying them afterward, even while wet (see photos - that is me untying and opening one bag while it is still wet). Also unlike other reviewers, the 2 bags experienced no shrinkage after the 1st cold water wash (no dryer). They were still 16" by 18".Organic cotton VS. polyester means less micro-plastic pollution in your clothes and in the oceans. The bags are a bit pricey and probably will not last as long as the cheap polyester ones. But if you want the advantages of cotton, this is the way to go. I do wish the Large size were just a bit larger though, as these are more like a cross between a typical polyester medium and large bag. So if the company is reading this, please consider making a larger "Large" (or an Extra Large). Otherwise, if I experience any durability issues with these, I will report back to everyone with an updated review.Update on October 20, 2022:These are still working well! I use them every other week or so. So far there has been no unraveling, no tears or holes, not even any discoloration. However, they did shrink. I just measured the Large bags and while they started out at 16" by 18", they now measure 15" by 15". Also I see that they have gone up in price since I purchased them, and there is an Extra Large size but it is rather pricey. Hopefully that will not be the case forever. But if I ever do need more, I would buy some...I would buy the X-Large next, for some extra room, since my Large ones shrank. I can still use the Large ones just fine and in fact I just used them today. They're just a little more snug. Otherwise I'd say these are a 4.5 star item now instead of a full 5 star due to the shrinkage, but otherwise they're working well and have proven to be durable.

I’ve used these for so many washes, mostly cold water and then I allow to air dry. No problems and they seem to hold up very well. Drawstring can be a bit tricky to loosen when wet, but really nothing to complain about.

Perfect size for small items like socks. I had my doubts about the drawstring closure, but it works great!

Regardless of your washer type, these bags, once closed, have long pulls at the top that need to be tightly wrapped around the top and then knotted so the string doesn’t grab other items and twist them in the wash. When wet and removing items from them to hang dry, it’s not pleasant to untie and open. This is a minor inconvenience for a nontoxic product; it depends on your patience level.The holes on this bag are larger than your standard wash bag and are more likely to rip and tear- this product would work just fine for any washer without a center agitator- but if you DO have a center agitator, look elsewhere and don’t buy this product! We purchased two small bags and two large bags. After a month of use, small holes started to expand, and into our second month of use, the large bags both ripped during different wash cycles-our clothing almost got caught and destroyed with them because the large hole in the bag made something like a dress stick out in a long piece that would catch and wrap around the agitator. We had no issues with mesh bags in our washer previous but were looking for a nontoxic option. Unfortunately this did not work for our needs.

I bought this because it’s the largest eco friendly laundry bag I could find, however it shrank to about half its original size and doesn’t fit larger items like sweaters anymore. Can still use it for small things.

I want a tied laundry bag because plastic or metal zippers can snag things with a loose weave or knit. The set of sizes means that I can separate different sets items that will be in the same load. Things with hooks are prevented from snagging other things.

I bought these because they were more eco-friendly than most, but clothes inside get all balled up, so I doubt they're well cleaned or rinsed. :(
