A stunning sequel to a solid spooky series
This book was absolutely fantastic and everything any child between 8-11 (and older) would be fine reading. This is a brilliant follow on from The Haunting of Aveline Jones, in this book Aveline is on holiday with her Mum and she comes across a mystical stone circle and a surprising new friend with a difference. There are some fantastically spooky scenes in this book and I found it thoroughly enjoyable as a middle grade book reviewer and I am confident in saying that i think any child will absolutely love this book.

A bewitching read
A fantastic sequel and just as good as the first book, if not better. I love how magic friendship and mystery are woven throughout the story. It is a book which you can’t put down - I read it in just over a day. I would have read it quicker but I didn’t want it to end. Another insight in to the friendship between Aveline and Harold and how they look out for each other. A bewitching read. A must read! I can’t wait for book 3!

Charming, yet again
Another great, spooky tale from Phil Hicks!Fast paced, fun interactions and lovable characters. The plot once again was surprisingly intriguing and pulled me on from the get go. I really wish these books were available for me to read when i was 12. Enough mystery and spook to tantalize the tastebuds but not so much that it frightens the children.
