Love this book! Bought the digital first - author is clear eyed and gives a lot of info not usually passed on with other books.

While I'm not a Dr, or practitioner of the medicinal arts, I've found this guide to be an integral part of off grid (or everyday) preparedness with common sense medical solutions for when professional/conventional medical care is absent. With a little bit of skill and preparation, you can handle many common first aid scenarios utilizing essential, natural remedies, and procedures backed by many years of real world field experience! Covering a wide array of basic herbal care protocols to instructions in assessing scenes, illness, or injuries, this guide explains in easy to follow advice from the authors vast specialized military experience in the role of a Green Beret combat medic and clinical/medicinal herbal practitioner. Be aware, though, there's a lot of medical terminology with which you'll have to research a bit to understand if you're not already familiar. Overall, this book gives not only the 'what' you'll need in an emergency situation, but also the 'how' and 'why' it works behind the science of each herb or solution covered within.

Love. This. Book!Its so perfect because I look for the reasons behind why plants work and affect the way they do and this books tells exactly that! I haven't looked to much into the first aid portion yet. The knowledge in this book is great. The only thing I thought odd it didn't include was all the herbs it referenced. Like it mentions thyme a few times in use with other things but doesn't have a page about thyme and its breakdown. Bit nothing a google article search can't fix! I'm so happy with this book!
