Perfect for crabbing
These snares work perfectly! Caught so many crabs with these snares. And the rings stay up nicely

Doesn’t seem durable
I used it twice now and it works as intended, but it doesn’t seem durable. Parts of the cage are already bent opened and the ends are a little rusty. I’ve rinsed them each time after using them and let them dry, but apparently it it takes more than that to prevent them from rusting.

Good but not great
Was able to catch a few crabs using this trap from shore, but the biggest issue I found was that I really didn't know I’d there is a crab eating my bait or not. The water current moves the trap and I can’t tell if something is moving the trap or not. It’s really just a matter of luck. Also, the cords get wrapped up in each other and have a tendency to lay flat. Would be much better if there was a way to make sure they stay upright, but that’s a manufacture issue. I was able to cast this trap probably 30-50 feet using a heavy duty pole and reel, which is nice. my recommendation is to add more weight so it’s doesn’t move as much because of the current. all in all, I recommend this trap if you’re looking to do some recreational shore crabbing.

Skip the Danielson, go directly to the Air Fly...
Although these are relatively simple to make, I just don't have the time so decided to purchase a Danielson and the Air Fly Crab snare to see first hand the differences in both. Both units appear to have a solid cage. Other than that, the Air Fly is leaps and bounds better and I will be returning the Danielson promptly and picking up a 2nd Air Fly instead. When crab snaring, it's extremely important that each individual snare stands up. With the Danielson, there is way too much slack on the line loop connected to the cage. As a result, the snare falls to the side making it essentially useless. Not so with the Air Fly....at least not with the units that are currently being made and the one I received today. The marketing video that Air Fly currently has posted up for it's unit should be replaced. You're doing your company a disservice because the snares on that unit are laying flat. My advice to you is to take that video down promptly and put a new one up showing a cage with properly attached snares if you want to gain sales...Nice thing also with the Air Fly is that you get 2 additional snare assemblies for replacement purposes or if you really want to kit your cage with a 7th snare (or 8th snare) you could if you wanted to. Finally, there is also a 1oz weight ziptied to the bottom of the cage which is a nice little plus. Crabs are scavengers. If your bait cage is heavy enough to stay seated on the ocean floor, then it's useless. I'll be adding an additional 5oz pyramid weight to this one just in case. The Danielson as it is currently being made is a waste of $11-$15 dollars. I hate wasting time and most importantly I hate wasting $$. By once, cry once. Right now (12/20/19), the Air Fly is the best snare available on Amazon hands down.

These work but….
So these work ok but for half the price you can buy a Danielson brand that’s works about the same. These cast a little better but need about 1-1.5oz to stay put in the water. The snares on these seem to tangle a lot more than the Danielson brand, also after only a few hours the bungee that’s holds the lid shut fellOff. (Photo of Danielson brand)
