Wow, this is going to be my gift for anyone with a baby from now on. This is the best bowl for the following reasons:1. Aesthetics. No crappy looking, crazy colored, patterned, character covered bowl here. This is beautiful, and makes my child feel like part of the family since we also have bamboo salad bowls.2. The suction works great. If it's wet, my baby can slide this toward himself and undo it. But if I dry the spot, he no longer can do this.3. The silicon suction piece is removable = better cleaning and I can use the bowl on its own when baby is done with it. Again, because it is beautiful.4. The spoon is Ah-maze-ing. I bought the additional four pack as well. Best baby spoon we have ever used. Here's why - it's wider than most baby spoons which is easier for baby. He doesn't choke himself sticking it down his throat like with the skinny spoons. It doubles as a teether while they're eating. The handle is so much easier for baby to use.5. Baby has thrown this on the floor multiple times and there's not a mark on it yet.Best baby feeding products we have used yet. Great job.Updated June 2016 -The bowl developed a crack which I could not clean, and some mold was growing in there. I contacted the company and they replaced it immediately. In fact, they answered my email within 10 minutes! I have also purchased the plate and spoon set and 0 issues with it. The new bowl has been perfect for the last month or so; pretty sure it was a fluke that mine cracked. So now the 6th reason to buy this is the wonderful customer service!

I don't usually write reviews on baby products, cause baby's mind changes so fast, one min. they'd love the product so I remind myself to write a review then a day later she'd cry if she's anywhere near her "yesterday's fav toy" ... so it's hard to have a truthful review.Anyways, this is not a review on if the baby likes it -- well she doesn't love it nor hates it, when she sees the bowl she knows it's meal time. My husband and I love it ... we can finally have 1 or 2 min of peace when we eat, the bowl is not baby proof -- in a way our strong baby will eventually lift it up her tray, but the suction is much stronger than anything we've tried in the past, baby hates it because she has to try really hard to lift it up and oh she does, but at least it buys us a little time to eat. we've been using the bowl to teach her to self-feed since she's nine month, now 11 and half. she can pretty much make peace with the fact that THE BOWL will stay on the tray during meal time. as to the spoon, we have about 11 different baby feeding spoons, we found out the one she loves the most are my small wooden dessert spoon, she sees me using it on a daily base and only wants to use it for her meal time.to sum it up, will baby start learning to eat with it ... take's time and a lot of patience. Will they try to take the bowl off and throw? YES all the time! and she is getting stronger by the day. My 15 mos old uses this bowl and spoon combo for meals now and loves that she can independently scoop her food out of a bowl that’s not moving around the table.We used the ezpz plate mats prior to this and loved those as well. However, Now that my child is starting to prefer using a utensil over her hands, she was needing something deeper to make it easier to grab her food with a spoon.This bowl works for us for so many reasons, but I’ll highlight the main factors that we appreciate about this set and caused us to spend $20 on a bowl & spoon.1. ease of use for 15 mos. old! My daughter was using an ezpz plate from 6 mos and up. Up until now she has had 0 experience eating straight from a bowl. In fact, her dexterity for getting food into her mouth with a utensil hasn’t been very successful. HOWEVER, this bowl and spoon was a game changer and she eats really well independently with a utensil (and not her hands).2. The spoon! The spoon is flat-ish and wider, which helps my daughter scoop up food without dropping it as easily. I thought it was a little large at first, but now that I see it working so well I’m going to ditch the smaller utensils we have.3. Quality. I’d say it’s a 10/10 for this. I have a few bamboo and silicone items at home and have seen the variety of quality and types of silicone out there. I like that these are both sturdy. The silicone is a nice matte like texture and not too floppy as a spoon. Suction works good on our matte wooden table.4. Long term usage. Lastly, I love that this bowl can be used past babyhood. I never bought baby bowls/plates for my first child, I just had her use glass and ceramic and she did well, however, I felt safer with a suction bowl this time around and love that I can use the bamboo bowl without the suction part after she grows out of it.

Absolutely love this bowl! The bowl itself is smooth and sturdy. The suction on it is fantastic, i even tried it on my car and fridge! I definitely will be ordering more and the plates too! This specific color (magenta) the stock picture doesn't do it justice. It is a really nice color.

We love our bowl! I was a little worried after hearing that bamboo, if not of quality, could contain toxic materials; I was happy to read that this bowl is melamine free! We use it for every mealtime. It has the perfect aesthetic and durability. I love having one nice item over several dingy items... like ugly, childish, plastic dinnerware. Our bowl did look a little worn after several weeks, but I covered it in olive oil over night (as another review suggested) and it looks brand new! The spoon (white) did turn a bit orange, but what do you expect with silicon. I wanted the black, but it was not available. We use silver teaspoons anyway for feeding, but the silicon is great for scraping food from the processor. We will be buying the plate when our child is of age!

A gorgeous smooth bowl with a handy silicone base that is removable and actually sticks to the surface you want it to. No matter how hard baby tries it isn't shifting anywhere, for adults it had a handy little tab to help you peel it off the surface. Once you've outgrown the stage of needing the bowl to stick to a surface you can just remove the silicone and continue to use it... so it grows with baby and it makes the costly amount worth while. This is why I didn't go with the Bamboo Bamboo one as I feel its unnecessary to have a logo printed so horribly across it, where as this is discrete. Now dear Avanchy I'd love for the UK to have the option of buying the divided plate please! As I can think of a 100 ways to use it that I can't with this bowl.

This bowl is the perfect size for baby/toddler one dish meals. My little one is able to feed himself really easily and it has reduced the amount of mess he usually makes. No more broken bowls or plates on the floor. I love it! If I were to find fault with it at all I would say it was a little expensive however on the whole I am pleased with my purchase.

Really liked this bowl and spoon. My son had his first bowl of porridge from them yesterday and managed the spoon well and the bowl stayed stuck to the highchair tray despite his efforts to launch it elsewhere

This is a lovely bowl, great size and the suction definitely works, it helps my daughter get used to having a bowl but means the food doesn't end up all over the kitchen. Handy to have the spoon but it's a bit big for my daughter at the moment.
