Cannot attest to chew proofability yet
But it is holding up better than the "teething ring" I bought her when I adopted her December 2022 at 3 months old. Sparkle is a Shepard-Husky mix and currently is 8 months old. The first one I got her was from Walmart and it held up really well, then her adult teeth came in and it just got chewed in half. This black Kong teething/chew ring has so far held its own against her need to gnaw on something. It seems to help keep her teeth clean and the gums massaged as well. Only had it for a couple of month so I cannot attest to how long it will hold up. She is an aggressive chewer. She tends to break river rocks and red bricks when she can sneak finding one. We check it once a week for any weaknesses or tears. Once it starts breaking apart it will be time to toss it and find a better one for her health and safety. Don't want her swallowing pieces of the rubber and getting ill. So far we, family & Sparkle, are very pleased with it and recommend it.👍🏼😁👍🏼

Still lasting
Our other extreme kong has survived. So I was a little disappointed when my Rottweiler mix still was able to chew a small part of it off . However the rest has stayed still in very good shape so I’m still happy as my dog is an aggressive chewer. Would buy again!

Disappointed
Other Kong products have lasted for years. These newer ones lasted weeks.

Only chew my Lab has not destroyed yet
this is the way to go if you have a young lab that likes to chew - after several weeks it still shows no signs of ware and tear and believe me my lab (1 yr old) likes to chew so this tires him out pretty good - rawhides work good too

My 75lb Rottweiler/ Boxer can't destroy it!
My dog, who has a penchant for destroying toys marked as for destructive chewers in under an hour, has had this toy for over 4 months and has only managed to make a few pock marks in it. She chews on it almost every day and we even use it for tug-of-war. I cannot believe how durable this thing is and if she ever does manage to destroy or lose it, I will happily buy her another one!

Our Dog Loves It
But, our dog is a strong chewer and she will pretty much shred her King toy within a month or less. Thankfully she has no desire to eat what she chews off, but these aren’t quite as durable as said to be.

Works great!
My boy is a super chewer and goes through all the indestructible toys in minutes. He hasn’t been able to chew through this and he tries! I think it’s because it’s rounded and he can’t get a corner to work. He loves this toy and plays fetch and tug with it as well. Recommend this for sure.

Toy
Ace my Rottie ate the circle off around the ring. I thought Kongo was tough for chewers.

9 month labradoodle got chunks off in 10 mins
Bought this as my 9 month old labradoodle destroys most toys in minutes, thought I’d see if paying extra was worth it. 10 minutes in hes got chunks off, it’s tougher than standard rubber toys but nowhere near worth nearly £20. Wouldn’t recommend for aggressive chewers, yet to find a toy that actually lasts

Broke apart within 10 minutes of delivery 😞
This was bought for our 16 month old Staffy puppy. It looked and felt strong but as he was playing with it within 10 minutes whilst watching him play we noticed he had something in his mouth, part of two of the rings were fully open so you could see inside. Luckily we got the part that had come away out of his mouth and the rest went into the bin.

Very short life - not same as the older Kong Extreme
We have been buying Kong Extreme Toys for our older dog for the past 8-10 years. He is an aggressive chewer and Kong Extreme Toys were the only ones that lasted well. We have recently bought several for our younger dog and something seems to have changed as they now don't last, and our dog is very quickly chewing into the rubber. This one lasted less than an hour before he has started to tear chunks out of it. He is same breed type as the older do so a similar chew strength. Very expensive for a toy that lasts an hour. We are now on the hunt for an alternative. Kong whatever you have changed - can you change it back please.

5" across hardly extra large
Kong are the best durable dog toy I'm not disputing that. What I am surprised at is this ring is supposed to be extra large and it measures just 5" across. Not adequate for a very large German shepherd.

disappointed, broke within a day
really thought this would be tough and strong, but it split within a day, very disappointed as it wasn;t cheap and came with a well known brand name
