Derwent Battery Operated Eraser, Artist Tool, Drawing, Art Supplies (2301931)

I have used a Derwent battery powered eraser for several years and have never had a problem of any kind. I bought this one for my budding-artist granddaughter who always used mine, but has moved to another state. The first thing she asked for was this eraser. It is sturdy and easy to use. Believe me, mine takes a lot of abuse and use, been dropped a few times, had liquids spilled on it, and who knows what else with kids around, but it works perfectly. The only drawback was that this one had been opened when I received it which is why I rated it low on value. I question whether or not it was a return, but it seems to work fine, so I sent it on to my granddaughter, along with a pack of extra batteries.

At first I told myself paying $$ for the simple task of erasing- something I can do by hand very easily and just the cost of an eraser, but this tool is so useful. It saves alot of time bc you can cover alot of surface quickly. Also, a benefit I didn’t realize until i used this, is that erasing by hand removes or can blur some of the ink layer i put on top of pencil when i draft art, and with this, it erases so efficiently, that i just need to touch the surface lightly and in 1 stroke really and the pencil in gone.To note, the eraser tips do go through use more quickly than I would have thought, but it does come w a supply of replacement tips.

Easy to hold. Great tool for charcoal and pencil drawing. Because it’s battery powered, it allows Artist to erase without tearing or damaging the drawing surface. And it comes with extra supply of erasers that will last quite a while. It’s great for details. Easy to hold and works great!

It is very good at removing lead build up. It is also excellent at creating textures (such as the grass near the front of the drawing and the flowers in the upper left corner).That being said, the eraser will sometimes grab the paper, causing your hand to go along with it to the right.

Just what I needed. Works as described. Powerful little motor for those extra details. Requires 2 AA batteries. Thats not included. But super happy with my electric eraser.

Never used one before. Pleasantly surprised. Great for adult colouring.

I’ve had this for awhile…I’ve actually bought several. And its just occurring to me, I don’t know why I keep purchasing…it’s not that amazing. Maybe I was thinking brand name= superior? But in fact it’s pretty annoying that once the eraser gets down to the 3/4 used, even the lightest pressure of the eraser on the surface starts pushing it in and in and in. If you aren’t paying attention, it can even get pushed in so far that the metal holders can damage whatever you’re erasing on. Other than that it’s fine, but not worth repurchasing multiple times unless you’ve ruled out the other ones (unless you’re dumb like me)I’m going to try the AFMAT one- has great reviews, tons of refills, 2 different sizes and I’ve purchased good items from that brand before...

I needed a good eraser to remove pencil marks from a prepared canvas surface. Nothing but a wet cloth worked and it also removed the gesso I added in advance. This electric eraser did the job beautifully. I read in one comment that the head of his unit wiggled around and seemed loose. He had a dud and should have just returned it for another instead of complaining about it. Mine is tight, does not wobble and works fantastically! I highly recommend this Derwent Battery Operated Eraser!

I was always under the impression that coloured pencils cant be rubbed out, however it seems with this they can be.Thats v.useful for me when adult colouring as I frequently drop pencils on my work or go over the lines.The extra rubbers will last me years I think, and look easy to change.

Oui, c'est un petit gadget qui peut faire sourire, et que l'on peut offrir en cadeau quand on n'a plus trop d'idée (c'était mon cas)...Mais en fait, cela marche bien pour effacer une petite surface. Un cruciverbiste ou un fan de Sudoku pourra donc trouver son bonheur. Pourra aussi retoucher une esquisse avec une précision millimétrique.En lui-même l'appareil est bien conçu. Pour changer/régler la gomme, il ne faut pas tirer sur cette gomme, mais sur la pince élastique. Aucune difficulté.
