Brilliant book!
I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of this book and I have to say it does not disappoint! For anyone who is interested in being even slightly more planet friendly, this book is a really good choice! The best part about it, for me, is that it is not preachy (which let’s face it, is a bit of a turn off). What it does instead, is cut through the mountains of information to lay out the facts in a way that is simple and easily digestible. That way, rather than preaching at you, it arms you with the information you need to simply make informed choices.Part 1 focusses on arming you with the simple yet brilliantly researched information.Part 2 provides planet friendly recipes that look delicious! I can’t wait to try them. This would be a perfect and gift for someone who needs a little encouragement to start on their planet friendly journey. Equally, I can see how this would appeal to someone a little further down that track as the contents could provide affirmation, in little bitesize chunks, of how and why they already make their choices. My mates are all getting a copy for their birthdays this year!

Great X’mas stocking filler
After the last year, I’ve realised just how much our planet is in trouble so have been trying to find little ways to improve how my family live so we aren’t contributing to the problem of climate change / plastic pollution. Obviously it’s not entirely possible but I came across this book recently and it offered me some very simple steps to take to choose my food in a better way.As a city girl born and bred, I knew v little about agriculture and farming practices. I knew generally farming contributes to the issue, but actually understanding the difference between what’s decent and what’s really not is really interesting! There are easy ways to shop and eat better that can make a difference to the environment. It just takes people to care enough. The book isn’t anti-meat which is also good and tells you how to source more sustainable meat and fish. It also shows the differences between organic products and non-organic and just makes you think how you c an do better within your own lifestyle and needs. The recipes at back are simple to follow and great for adults and kids to get involved. It’s just great to have all this info in one place. I’ll be buying a few of these as Christmas presents for family and friends.

Full of tips on how to make everyday improvements
A dip in-able book that gives answers to a lot of the questions that someone (like me!) who is trying to be more eco-friendly has when looking to make changes. For example, it tells you what 'organic' really means and what type of non-dairy milk is best to switch to, but it also doesn't expect the reader to become the perfect eco-friendly specimen overnight, which is what I liked most about it. It gave tips and recipes so you can make incremental changes, without judging you for not doing absolutely everything right (I'm pretty gutted to discover just how bad chocolate is for the environment but know I'm not ready to give it up yet!)

A go to book to learn about planet friendly choices
A wonderful book on how to be planet friendly in choices we make when it comes to food: what we eat, where we get it from, and how we store it.The one thing I love most about it is that it does not insist, nor sell a lifestyle but merely advocates why we should care and gives very manageable, simple tips to adapt whatever lifestyle you have to make just that little bit planet friendlier. Did you know that if you keep diary products at the back of the fridge makes them last longer? I didn’t, I bet you didn’t too.Or that if you fill your freezer, it will operate more efficiently.Needless to say, there are more takeaways from this book than tips on storing food or how to read the labels- it is also packed with recipes which I am keen to try out. It really is a fantastic book to go to for an overall overview of what can be done to make our food choices wiser. If you then want to dig deeper, i am sure there are plenty of places you can find more, but if you have to get just one book to introduce you to a planet friendly kitchen, this is the one.

There's lots to think about, but also so many really easy tips to start incorporating straight away and make a difference with your consumption habits. The recipes all look gorgeous and I can't wait to start cracking them out.

Really informative. Pretty layout and design.
Really great book. Unlike a lot of these books, it’s not a hard shove in one direction. The author provides clear information for what can truly help the planet and environment. I have been vegan for several years but I enjoy impartial information that accommodates all views and diets/lifestyles. This book has all of that. Some really good facts and stats that I’ll be reciting in discussions about the planet!Really cute looking book with great images and layout. Would make a super gift.

Interesting book
Interesting book and certainly an eye opener. I didn’t come away with many tips that I could use but does show the importance of considering what you are buying and how it is packaged.
