Lorex 4K Security Camera System, Ultra HD Indoor/Outdoor Wired Bullet Cameras with Motion Detection Surveillance, Active Deterrence and Smart Home Compatibility, 2TB 8 Channel DVR, 8 Cameras

The cameras were clear in day and night and worked really well until they didn’t. My dvr just shut down all of a sudden and would not do anything. Customer service I spoke with and could hardly understand him but we went through the normal trouble shooting and waited 3 days to call back and do it all over again. I was a little annoyed with the lady customer service this time and I shouldn’t have been because it wasn’t her fault but she paid the price. She did get me a new dvr sent to me within 2 days so the system is great even though the dvr failed but im in this kind of field of work so I know things happen, only thing I can say they need to improve is the customer service other than that its a good system.

The product is nice, the video definition is not the better one but very nice product for the price!

Problem #1 was the system will not display on my TV designated for the camera system and it is a newer TV. It would display for a bit and then the screen would blink blue. I changed TV's and it did the same thing. Some sort of auto display setting is stopping it from displaying. Because it cannot display I cannot manipulate the settings. The app has limited control but the system is required to display in order to start the system setup and create a password.Problem #2, you cannot use the app unless you setup the system on a local monitor. Now you see the problem. So I was able to download the app but never log in because I needed to do the setup that was only visible from the monitor or in my case a smart TV.Problem #3, I was able to see the display long enough to create a password on the system and them I could use the app. The display went blank again afterayne 5 minutes of showing the setup wizard. It has been almost a day now and numerous reboots have not fixed the display on the monitor. Now that I have it setup, I learned that only one person at a time can be in the DVR system even if they have separate accounts. Only one person is allowed to access the DVR at a time. All other users are kicked out of the system.I would NOT Recommend this product. My 1080 has the same quality as this "4k" system and better user interfaces.

Only had a few months and one cam has becme defective. It shows image upside down.

Worked great for the first couple months, now it works only when it feels like. Customer service from lorex is horrible.

Easy set up, good clear picture. But only two stars because the system only allows you to be logged onto one device at a time. Ridiculous. Deal breaker. I’ll more than likely be sending it back.

I got it set up and ran it for about 30 minutes. It says “no disk” and then a disk error. POS!!
