You dont lose a plug, but still big
I like that I can use to monitor power from plug and on left side and use the right side as a pass thru power. It how ever is still quite big and does still block other plug. Connected quickly and easily to my zigbee2mqtt network.

Compatible with Wink 2 - kinda
Was able to add this to my Wink 2 hub with some trial and error (see below). The plug responds pretty quickly to commands.NOTE: This is the switch only model. This is not the dimmer model. Adding to the Wink 2- Don't do the logical thing and add the plug by choosing the GE Plug-in Smart Switch under Outlets. It doesn't pair. I think it's because that is for the Z-Wave version, and this is this ZigBee version.- Instead, add this as a Light and choose Generic Zigbee Light Bulb.- The only issue I have is that it shows up as TWO light bulbs. Only one of them will control the Zigbee socket though. The other didn't seem to do anything. Make sure to name them differently and name the extra light something unique. Also, if you remove one, they both go away. If anyone has figured out a way to make it shows as only one light, please share.

Only one smart outlet, not two.
Be sure to read the fine print. This does NOT have two smart outlets. One has power always on. I bought this thinking it would help declutter the outlet where I wanted to control 2 lamps. Since this is much bigger than other single outlet plugs, it is now a big plug PLUS a splitter. I thought the whole point of leaving the bottom plug uncovers was that you already have an always on plug. Should have paid more attention... Oh well, it seems to work well with Alexa. However, within half an hour of plugging this in (with one lamp on each side), BOTH lamps' bulbs went bad. One was a CFL, the other an LED. Weird coincidence? If it happens again I'll return it.

Wink stated that while the device will work with the system the Zwave version works best. I purchased the second device and that GE ...
The item worked well however the reason it was purchased was to work with my Wink Zwave system. The box states the it works with the foresaid system. However when I received the device and tried to pair with my system, I had trouble and spent time trying to get it to connect before contacting Wink directly. Wink informed me that GE makes two devices that perform this function. GE indicates that both devices on the packaging work with Wink. Wink stated that while the device will work with the system the Zwave version works best. I purchased the second device and that GE plug has been great. Five stars for sure.

Great device
I have my coffee pot plugged into it. Before I even get out of the bed, "Alexa, turn on the coffee pot"! Pairing it with Alexa was easy and quick. The only reason for the 4 star rating is it's only a smart plug on one side. The other side is always on.

Wink Hub owners beware!! The switch does work ...
Wink Hub owners beware!!The switch does work exactly how it should BUT one caveat. It does NOT add as an outlet. You have to add it as a generic ZigBee light bulb. If you try to add it as an outlet the hub will never find it.

Worked with Echo Plus for 12 months only
It paired with my echo plus on purchase easily. It worked for 12 months. Now it is is no longer recognized by the echo and even after resetting it back to pairing mode it is unable to pair with my echo plus at all.I purchased two of these. Both have the exact same problem. Not sure if the problem is the plug, the crappy hub that's built into the echo plus, or Amazon's crap smart home software. Either way, both of them are now useless after 12 months.I certainly wouldn't certify this echo plus compatible.

Much better than the Z Wave version from a pairing standpoint.
Easy to pair. No problems. Much better than the Z Wave version from GE which would not maintain the paired status. Even with IRIS by Lowe's assistance.
