As many people have commented the smell is not the best. It’s not too offensive once the product is absorbed unto the skin but it has an undertone of ammonia and slightly expired milk. If you put a scented lotion on top of it though it’s easy to mask the smell.This product however leaves my skin BABY SOFT!!!!! It’s helped a lot with my KP, hyperpigmentation, and skin texture issues as well.It doesn’t give as drastic results of as something like a glycolic acid lotion but you can use it almost everyday without worrying as much about irritation.If you can get past the smell this product is absolutely worth your money! I just wouldn’t wear this with the assumption that you’re going to swoon people with the way you smell after putting it on.

I’ve struggled with KP and this cream has helped smooth my skin so much. The lactic acid exfoliates gently while keeping my skin hydrated, and I’ve noticed a real difference in the bumps on my arms. I like to mix it with Bio-Oil and apply it every night — it absorbs well without feeling greasy and leaves my skin softer by morning. The scent is a little clinical, but it fades quickly. Definitely one of the best products I’ve used for both KP and overall hydration.

I've always had chicken skin/strawberry skin where it's scaly and has cracks. I bought this looking for a solution. I've been using for a few months now right after I get out of the shower and it transformed my skin! My legs have never been so smooth to the touch and the bumps are gone! It is lightweight and does not have a smell! I was using coconut oil prior and it has worked so much better than that!

It works! My skin is transformed from rough and dry to supple and smooth! Specifically, my lower legs, front of thighs, and chest were rough and dry even after exfoliating and daily intense moisturizing with a combination of the richest cream and body oil. This Amlactin cream disappeared the roughness, and my skin stays moisturized beyond 24 hours. The one negative about the cream is that it has a somewhat unpleasant smell. According to the Amlactin website, it's the natural smell from lactic acid salts. The odor might be too much for some people.

This is the BEST lotion for KP I have ever used and had positive effects within a couple days and my skin felt soft for days even on days when not using it! . Shame I didn't discover it 20 years ago but I will keep using it as long as i'm alive.

This lotion is rather thick with a little going a long way. I would say it works like a miracle but it's science. My hands started to heal with the 1st use, weeks later, my hands are almost healed. My job dries my hands out, they were rough, scaly and cracked. I use this twice a day (most of the time) and put clean socks on my feet after applying the lotion. My feet are soft and I've had chunks of dried skin fall off without bleeding.

My dermatologist recommended this product for my dry skin, and it has worked well for me. As others have mentioned, it does have a slight unpleasant scent at first, but it fades quickly. Personally, the smell doesn’t bother me, and it’s a minor tradeoff for the hydration and relief it provides.
