These do not have a very far sight. The magnification lever is just a toy. Good for kids camping or just exploring.

I picked up a set of these Borwolf 70mm zoom binoculars recently. Borwolf is a Chinese optical company that has been around for about 10 years. They advertise high quality optics at reasonable prices. I chose this brand because of the BAK4 optics used in their construction and the multi coated optics. These binoculars came with no case, just a styrofoam box to store them. There is a tripod adapter included for use along with a lens cleaning cloth and a nice neckstrap. The rubber coating on the binoculars body is really coolThese are large binoculars, but they don't have the ridiculous size and weight of 80mm giant binoculars. I have a set of Celestron 20 power by 80mm astronomical binoculars. Due to their heavy weight I don't have much use for them. For astronomical viewing in my California high desert dark sky area I usually prefer using my expensive Cannon image stabilization binoculars.These Borwolf binoculars are a pleasure to use. The optics are first rate, about as good as you can get really. They offer the same 3-D stereo effect for viewing that my Celestron giant binoculars do. The magnification in these is not 60 power as stated in their ad. I'd say the true magnification is closer to 30 power for these zoom binoculars. The field of view is narrower on zoom binoculars. This Borwolf zoom binocular model just can't match the larger field of view that my Celestron binoculars have.Borwolf advertises their binoculars as very high quality and the binoculars I got are high quality. Zoom binoculars are not as reliable and more prone to breakage as compared to fixed magnification binoculars so I can't comment on their reliability at the moment. With the BAK4 prisms used in these zoom binoculars I would definitely consider these as a purchase choice over other zoom binoculars that use BAK7 prisms in their construction.

Excellent binoculars once you get a good pair. The zoom mechanism is not the greatest and must be treated gently. After you get em dialed in they rock.
