It is small but mighty. I love it.
It was perfect size. I used it to limit myself the amount of treats I indulge in..

Nice Looking
It's a nice looking serving dish that also cooks well. So far, food is cooking perfectly evenly and looks great on the table. The lid looks like it would be fragile, but no problems so far.

I recommend this. Hope this helps
I purchased my 1st one of these from a local store, as it was an immediate need. The second was almost by accident, while perusing Amazon..This piece worked so well and was $9.00 less expensive on Amazon, I bought another. I have only used it to make the French Boule bread that Laura Calder made on her show 'French Cooking/Food at Home'. Her vessel was a 2 1/2 qt. porcelain enamel, be it Le Creuset, Lodge or whatever. However, I did not have that size. Also, she had to preheat hers and it was apparent that when she removed it from the preheating, it was extremely hot. Also, that is not light cookware. So, getting this piece was lighter and I have found it does not require the preheating. Some have complained about the light glass top, preferring the heavy glass piece. Having looked at both types of tops, I feel this one is more secure in place, though perhaps more prone to breakage if dropped by accident. So, I recommend this. Hope this helps. Enjoy, Robert

Hate the lid but I did buy it as a dog dish.
I love this product and I am always on the look out for a bargain. I couldn't figure out why this bowl was so much cheaper than what I could find at my major retailer. Well it's the lid. The lid is not what you would expect a Corning product lid to be. It is a thin cut piece of glass with a plastic knob that I am sure with normal use won't last. But, I bought this bowl for my dog. All dog bowls that are big are plastic or metal and mold grows easier in them. This bowl is perfect as a water bowl for my small dog and cats. It is heavy enough so they can't tip it over and holds enough water so I am not constantly filling it up.If you buy this for its actual use of cooking then I would carefully check the lid in the picture. Some are still the thick ones you are use to but this one is not.
