There's an Elseworlds quality where it isn't canon, but there's enough borrowed from BTAS, the ongoing comic book canon, and even fun quips and lines from Burton's Batman to make it familiar and entertaining for fans of Batman as a whole. The chosen changes in this alternative reality make sense as well and still fit the characters and their motivations. Lots of cool Knight's Templar elements, more subtle societal references that add to the storyline without preaching, great art, intricate and dependable characterization, and a thrilling story from start to finish. This volume also includes Von Freeze, which gives an interesting background to Freeze's story in the same way that Dini did with his Heart of Ice episode for BTAS! Review: It’s in my collection!! - Very strong action and drama!!

Must Read!
An absolute must read! Sean Murphy is incredibly talented at both writing and his uniquely signature art style.

Great comic book series
A great sequel to Batman:White Knight. It was a phenomenal story and one of the few comic book stories that could make me tear up. I love the characters and relationships between them along with the story being told. The artwork is phenomenal and among one of my favorites. I’d recommend this one . It’s longer than some other graphic novels, but to me that’s a plus. My package arrived slightly damaged but other than that, my complaints are non-existent .

Top rated Batman experience
Since my first Batman comic in 1980, Ive had a few exceptional Batman standouts. Normally collections or a story series that absolutely blows my mind. Dark Knight, Killing Joke, Gotham by Gaslight are a few on the Batman stories Ill always enjoy, and still read regularly. Add to this list the AMAZING story in the White Knight series, anchored by the once in a generation talent Sean Gordon Murphy. Not only does this story create an exceptional tale in an "else worlds" Gotham it presents a place where the Michael Keaton Batmobile is in Batmans care and use. Wait until you see how Batman uses it in a way Id never considered, Murphy is a true draftsman whose renderings of technology, environments and settings show why not just anyone can work in comic books, and not just any old story is worthy of the Dark Knight. All of that not withstanding, this edition as a book itself is beautiful. A combination of glossy and matte finishes on the cover make even the dust jacket a tactile interaction. A "bonus" sketch section at the end of the book helps the reader see just a bit of Murphys process. To call him a comic artist is an apt description but falls short in crediting a truly gifted modern illustrator. The perfect gift for ANY Batman fan!

Good, not ground breaking
One of the biggest challenges of this comic is that it follows a groundbreaking story that blew the doors of the industry. That’s a high bar to follow. It doesn’t hit as hard as White Knight, BUT it’s a great comic and well worth the read. SGM’s art continues to be incredible and the writing is good. Is it the most revolutionary thing that happened to Batman in decades? No. But it’s solid. The characters have two levels of intensity 1. Normal, mild 2. Anime screaming It’s a little jarring at times to read innocuous dialog said by a screaming head, but you get used to it. The story is fun, though I had trouble caring as much for the characters as I did in white knight. In general, it’s worth the read: great cars, fun story, action scenes, Batman grappling with who he is and SGM/Hollingsworth at the top of their game

Really enjoyed it and loved the little story at the end.
Loved absolutely loved the art. The way batman and Gordon are drawn with the scratchyness on their faces and some of the other things I absolutely love. The colors while not like overpowering work in a very nice way and set a tone which sometimes colorists fail to do I think this was the perfect blend, even the Jokers greens and purples aren't as loud as usual and this fits right in with the story. Loved the writing and dialog. Just great.

One of the Best Batman Stories That Should've Been In-Continuity
I've really been enjoying what Sean Murphy has brought to the table in the Batman mythos. 'Curse' is better than its predecessor. A thing that's such a rare occurrence throughout media, not falling succumb to the sequel curse. While White Knight offered a breath of fresh air in themes of aesthetics, Gotham's politics and Joker's struggle with mental health with much big spectacles throughout, the sequel offers something much more in backstory of the Wayne family and reinventing Azrael's character to being much more palatable to contemporary times and correcting on what Knightfall failed to deliver in the end. Murphy doesn't fall short in surprises and killing off your favorite characters and then there's the green light for producing more stories in the Murphyverse and rightfully so because the ending leaves you wanting more.

Wow!!!! I don't care if this is Else world, What if or Black label. This is right up there with my favourite Batman stories. It is not often that the sequel is even more epic than the original but this one manages it. If I had one complaint it is i want more!!!!! This story took me through every emotion imaginable. Great twist in the story. Usually I hate when main characters are killed off, but even this was done well and every death ment something. Slight spoiler NO ONE is safe or off limits. I love the artwork, and the story us just amazing. Incredible character development, every character is done incredibly well. In fact I I even look at the characters in a new light now. I am of two minds because as much as I loved this book and really want to know what happens next. I have no idea how this story could be topped I a sequel. This is as close to the perfect comic/book as I have read. Even the bonus material (bonus story) is incredible. Every chapter starts with a full page issues cover. The cover gallery at the end the book has full page art if the varient covers. This is a myst read for any Batman fan, comic fan, reader, or writer. If you are not a fan at the begining you will be by the end.

Sean Gordon murphy’s art and entire interpretation of Gotham is majestic and stands out from countless others. The product itself was fine , good paper quality and it arrived completely untouched.

An excellent follow-up to Batman: White Knight! While the 2nd volume doesn't have quite the same 'fresh' energy as the original story, the inclusion of Azrael & that bad-ass 90s Batman armored suit makes it a more than fair trade-off. The art continues to be top-notch, and the character designs & cover sketches at the back are a nice addition.
