Was Decent charger for Samsung, mediocre charger lost 2 ports
Bought this to replace the USB charging ports which came with a Marine type faceplate unit. the Marine unit cheap USB ports would only deliver a total of around 2 amps. After swapping this one in, I haven't noticed any issues while pulling over 3 amps. Worked well with fast charge test on devices like Samsung. Samsung phone read fast charging 2+ amps, although I don't regularly use one.Charged an Iphone 7, a Mophie power bank (2.3 amps) and Vuse Vape (.400 amp) all at the same time.I Tested the amps being pulled by the iPhone 7 and the beginning amps were between 900 mah to 1 amp. This is with a battery down to 17%. I Expected the amps to be around 1.2-1.3 and then leveling off to around 900 mah later as the battery charged up past 50%.While this is a good all around charger which is built well and can charge Samsung phones super fast (as mentioned above) it's slow on the I-phones. I don't know why the iPhone doesn't seem to like this particular charger. It could have something to do with QC 3.0 circuitry. The manufacturer listed the iPhone as only "normal charge" but in my experience the charge doesn't even perform to the "normal charge" level. I've seen the amps drop all the way down to 600 mah (battery under 75%).This means a majority of the time, the iPhone was charging 20% to 30% slower than with a standard charger at nearly all times. It performed this way with other things charging or by itself.Your iPhone is going to take a while longer to charge than you are used to. I'm going to have to deduct a star from the review due to this, unless an improved version is tested to fix the iPhone issue. As far as the casing, it was aluminum. It's hard to tell though because it is thin and almost plastic-like.Overall seems decent, 3 ports is also convenient.EDIT: 11/20/21 2 top ports started delivering very little power. Now the 2 ports are basically dead. Only the 1 QC3 port is working as it should. Little pricey for the time it has worked. Guess the aluminum shell didn't make it last that long after all.

has lights. Grrr!
I had great hopes this would be un-lighted, but it does have lights inside the ports. It is dim compared with others on the market, but still annoys me. Who knows, you might like it.

Three ports with a thick rubber cover!
This car charger was purchased for our son's Van that has been converted into a long range distance camper. The van desperately needed some additional 12 volt plugs and this was the answer! The input allows for 24-12 so it can be connected to our handheld 18v tool batteries to make portable. Having Three ports with a QC3.0 makes this plug worth its weight in toilet paper or ground beef during the pandemic! the thick rubber plug is ideal for covering the ports when not in use. We are going to purchase a couple more to power usb devices throughout the van without having to run long usb cables.

Works good.
Installed it in my car to an accessory fuse and it works fine. The install requires a hole about 1 1/8 inch diameter to fit into. The housing is solid, not plastic. If you hook it directly to 12 v and not to an accessory fuse it will stay lit all the time. I used a JABINCO12V Car Add-a-Circuit Fuse TAP Adapter Mini ATM APM Blade Fuse Holder I purchased on Amazon and connected it to an open accessory fuse. It can also be connected to an existing accessory circuit using the same adapter. Didn't take very long to install about 45 minutes including drilling the opening for it. It may take more or less time depending on where it's installed and how far the wiring has to go.

works well but has an annoying light
It works just fine, but it always has a bright green light that never shuts off. I am going to have to put a switch on it so it doesnt constantly pull power on my travel trailer when its in storage.
