Cosmetics on this rod is gorgeous with the dark blue blank. It is a MH action rod (a touch more on the heavier side compared to other MH blanks) however, it does not explicitly state on the blank the recommended line size and lure weight it can handle. Best then is to use your judgment of what is the norm for a flip n pitch rod (for example, 12lb-25lb test and 3/8th - 1&1/2 oz).Not the lightest rod (i.e. Dobyn's) but very manageable, even for a 5'7" 145lb dude like me. My only peeve is that the guides are aligned a touch to the right of the reel seat than what I would have liked (hopefully its just my rod and not the rest of the line), but it does not have a significant effect on the performance, especially since I will be pitching to very close targets.Unless you have the cash for a lighter rod, this rod will handle all your typical flipping and pitching needs. Plus, you will have money left for a few lunches.
