Introduction to tai chi
Yes Paul Brecher's book was a good introduction to the basics of tai chi A good overview and history of the subject. Not that in depth or detailed but a good outline to the art.

Written by Erle Montaigue
I was really thrilled to find out that "Paul Brecher" is just Erle Montaigue's pen-name and not a separate person at all.Being a fan of Erle's mad mad throw-all-the-rules away approach to Karate, I was just drooling to read this book.Sadly it was a bit lame. Well, very lame really. Gone are the improbable anecdotes and humor we associate with Australia's least likely Karate Guru. Instead we get rather dry narrative about the history of Taiji as seen by Erle Montaigue. Who cares about Taiji? And why did the history sound so false?
